Best car for Nurburgring Nordschleife?

It takes at least 50-100 laps before you can drive a reasonably clean and fast lap, regardless of car. There are so many blind and treacherous corners you need to memorize.

Back in GT4 I did multiple 24h's using the Camaro race model which is also in GT5.

I would recommend a good FR car around 3-500bhp. Fast enough that you learn how the tricky curves behave at speed. But not too fast, it will just kill you all the time.

It seems like a FR car would be more prone to spinning out on those curves...

The Mercedes 190E Evo II is great for driving on the 'Ring. It's not too powerful, so it's great to learn with. Somewhat paradoxically though, you win it from the AMG Driving School.

There has to be a car you like and are comfortable driving. That is the best car. If you haven't found it yet, you will. Try a variety of different models and drive-trains until you find it.

I'm partial to S2000s (Amuse R1) and NSXs (LM road car).

Actually I think learning FR's driving style is the best, any cars can do good on the ring if you are a good driver.

Start with something slow:

1. Mazda Miata
2. Toyta AE86, SS version or FT-86
3. Toyota MR2, S2000, Lexus IS300
4. RX7, RX8, NSX, Supra
5. race version of the pervious cars
6. Group C race car/Endurance cars (Mazda 787B rules the ring)
7. FGT

That is a fun race to learn the track in a controlable car ±tup±

Lupo cup car is FF and comes with Racing tires, with barely 130hp, it's way too easy to drive on the ring and I really don't think it will increase your skills.
