whats everyones opinion on best cars for certain PP?? 400, 450, 500, 550, etc.
i have found that the FTO touring car is nearly unstoppable at 600 PP. also the NSX has been working well at 550, but what is everyones opinion on best cars for certain levels?

Going by the title, the car you were born with. /TopGearreference

Going by the post, I've found that the LFA actually performs better than the NSX at 550PP, mostly because I'm destroyed by it online.

I'm in agreement on the LFA, it was my weapon of choice for 550 and 500pp races too, but recently my 500pp favourite would be the FT86 concept. 396bhp, 1200kg and with the right tune it's fantastic through the bends. Great acceleration and tops out at over 175 on the 'ring straight. Though most people will probably say M3 GTR/CSL for the 500-550 range (judging by the amount i see running online).

nissan fairlady z 370 r34 , bmw m3 gtr , ferrari scuderia, honda nsx type r , mazda rx7 , all of them for 500 - 550pp

I agree on all the above. I wish the lotus had a little more top end personally but it handles amazingly.
What about the 600pp range??

The HSC at 550pp is good. At 600 the GT-R V-Spec, Tommy Kaira ZZ, 458 Italia among others. Just so you know, this topic has been covered many times so a search will help you find what you are looking for.

The Chapparal 2J is broken at 600PP in my opinion. I have yet to find anything (including the FTO Touring Car) that can come close to it.

This. It's pretty much unbeatable at most PP levels because the PP system doesn't seem to factor in the suction downforce it produces, and it has no adjustable downforce. It's a bit jittery at high speeds, but its a good few seconds faster at most tracks PP wise! Plus you have what I like to call the troll factor as you are driving what looks like a fridge which is 40 years old :sly:

If you have one go try it out! Don't come crying to me if you get booted from rooms though haha.

I haven't had much use for viewing cars in terms of PP levels because the whole PP system is broken by the fact that PD added it as an after-thought well after the game's release rather than it being a part of the core gameplay from day one. Had PP been done properly, as Turn 10 has been doing PI (Performance Index) with Forza for a long time already, it would have been there before the game released and would have been a requirement for at least many of the game's A-Spec and B-Spec events. Instead, PP wasn't there and even when it was added it never mattered in the actual career mode. The only time I've needed to worry about PP is for the occasional Seasonal event.

Hopefully in a handful of years when GT6 arrives PD will have PP as part of the game on the day of release and have PP requirements for career events. Then, on top of that, actually allow us to save tuning setups, and as many as we like for all cars, and to share them with the entire community (rather than just friends). That way we can have a community creating tuning setups for different PP levels and different circuits for all the game's cars. You could have a 400 PP setup for the Bullcrappie Drivercar GT setup for Daytona speedway, a 400 PP setup for the Bullcrappie Drivercar GT for Monaco (Cotex Diaper), a 400 PP setup for the Bullcrappie Drivercar GT for Monza, a 550 PP setup for the Bullcrappie Drivercar GT for the superspeedway, a 550 PP setup for the Bullcrappie Drivercar GT for tight road courses, a 550 PP setup for the Bullcrappie Drivercar GT for faster road courses, et cetera.

But I digress....

PP is a pretty good way to handicap online races. I liked it better when tire choice was in the equation. There are a couple of cars that don't seem to be properly valued, but it works OK for most cars.

The best car at a any PP is the one you can drive around a course the fastest. You might not like MR cars as much as FR, or whatever, or you might drive an NSX R faster than you could an M3 CSL. So, it depends on who is driving.

I strongly agree with this. I was in my LFA earlier this day with a 560 PP below only restrictions. I massacred everyone with it, my lap times was gnawing them down. xD

At 400pp I can't think of a car that comes close to my 1970 Skyline GT-R KPGC-10.

The FTO touring car has put me in my place quite a few times at GT500 PP. Definitely a ringer

Same with the M3 CSL and M3 GTR 550-575

NSX-R Concept Road and Race car pretty dominant at 550 pp

RX8 Type S '07 at 450-500

suprisingly I haven't raced 2J's that much. Either people dont havem or maybe its because I don't race that high PP. I've only lost to one once, on tsukuba, funny thing is I was in 2nd, and WAY ahead of everyone else, and the 2J was beating me by a good 3 secs, WHILE GOING AROUND THAT EXTRA CHICANE!

I was like WTF!!

600 -650PP Ford GT test car
550 -600PP GT500 NSX
525 -550PP Lotus Evora or Elise
500 -525PP RUF 3400S
450 -500PP Honda S2000

You'll do well with them.
