Geez, how do you do that? I'm currently practising with the normal 787B (wanna use that one and don't have the 787B stealth) in its stock form (no turbos etc) and I lap around 3m36... There's no way I'm gonna win the 24h race with these lap times... I'm using racing hard tyres, maybe I'd better switch to softer tyres, hehe. What tyres are the AI using for the 24h Le Mans race?

Racing Mediums.

I'd say an average of around 3:34 not including pit laps would be fine so you're not too far off.

I'm racing on mediums.
Lap times now consistently around 3'20.xxx up to 3'23.xxx
11 hrs on the way, of which 6 hrs of darkness.
7 laps ahead, I think the AI is doing around 3'33.xxx/3'37.xxx a lap.
Does anyone know how long it remains dark? About 8 hrs maybe?

It lasts from 5 hours to 13.

so the lap times should average around 3;34.xxx? is this against a Bentley?

I want to use the Audi R10 because it has no roof, but then again, the 787B sounds a lot better, but then again the Bentley is the fastest....

Last time i tried with an Audi R10(just to test how my pace was) i pit in about 5 laps with Mediums, and by lap 5, i could not control the car, it kept sliding.

That was against the Audi R8 '01 which seems to be the fastest opponent you can face.

When I do this race, I am going to use the X2010, get an insurmountable lead after 18 hours, park it somewhere, get 6 hours of sleep and collect the win when I wake up in the morning. Either that or don't race it at nighttime in the game and still win.

There are plenty of LMP's to use for the race. I used the peugot 908 as it had the best tyre wear out of the 8 I have. It is not just up to that though, how the car handles and its overall laptime is also worth looking into. Go with the one that you think is right and suits your driving style best so you can get the maximum out of the tyres and the car itself.

I was doing 12 laps on tyres and fuel. Fuel was really low though and actually run out once at the end of mulsanne. There is a guage for you if you use the 908. My gap to the AI slowly increased to about 5 laps by the end of the race. My main opponents were the C60 hybrid and a R8 from 2001

That's a genuine racing...it's the same way that I have plans to do...X1 is for the weak lol.

@Rafaelschug Yeah mate. For every enduro I have used a car that fits in with the AI. Susuka 100KM I used GTR, Le Mans-peugot 908, indy-Minolta etc. I think thats the whole idea of the game, to use a car like the AI. It wasn't a close race I admit but when I ran out of fuel I went back to being only half a lap in front, definitely put the pressure back on me for the next few hours.

Maybe don't be a close race...but, we talking about of a racing that have 24 hours...so, finish it with just 5 laps of gap is a good racing...in my view, it's perfect. You have the pressure but at same time, you have almost sure that you'll win the race. :)
