I do not know if this has been asked before but if anyone can suggest cars and tunes to be used in these two events it would be appreciated because they are they only two I am having any problems with thanks

I used the BMW F-1 McLaren, you will have to de-tune it a bit , but the car is a beast and easily wins both events.

But those events are for road cars only...

oops my bad its been so long since I have raced super series

I think I used the LCC Rocket untuned - it has good fuel consumption and tyre wear so doesn't need a pit stop at Willow - at first you may think you are losing, but the other cars will pit and you will take the lead.

In my experience, you can win those events with a really wide variety of cars, due to there being so many road cars in the game!

Of the two, i find Willow springs trickier. But a lightweight vehicle(and therefore easy on tyres) will be good for this track.

Ascari, on the other hand, maybe because i love that track so much, i've found that i can win with anything from a Renault Megane Cup Sport and upwards. It IS too easy, but '10 Laps of Ascari' is easily my favourite event in GT6!

Thanks for the help I will try it with my LCC rocket tonight

I used the McLaren F1 '94 for the Ascari 10 lapper and I think the Jaguar XKR (both were gift cars) for the Willow Springs race that I tuned up for victories at both.

But, for a lot of the 650pp races I use the above mentioned McLaren F1 GTR-BMW '95 tuned. A great car.

The Mclaren F1 is a road car?!
The race car is the Mclaren F1 GTR ;)
Yeah, but the car was referred to as 'BMW McLaren F1'. Which suggests to me he meant the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car(which i think is actually found in BMW's dealership)

The regular, road going McLaren F1 '94 has no reference to BMW in it's name, although it of course, uses that MIGHTY 6.1 litre, v12, BMW engine!

You're right, I was stating I have both versions.

Easy wins with the LCC rocket .. I used a priainio tune and racing hard tyres.. Had both races sewn up by halfway through..

I wo the willow springs event so with it so I will try it a ascari tommorow

The Tommy Kiara[ spelling??] ZZ11 done it for me. Great car for these races.

I just did the Willow Springs one the other day. Whacked a bunch of power upgrades on the Rocket and won it easily. Didn't tune anything, aside from maybe arbitrarily deciding on a higher top speed. Went into the race with no idea how it'd drive and it was a walk in the park. Really, it could easily have been won, and in a far more interesting race, without a lot of (or possibly any of) the upgrades, but I had no idea how the thing was going to perform against the rest of the field.

No idea about Ascari coz I simply hate having to race there and I'll probably never even try the race.

i did it my fully modified one and i only had to lower the power down a bit to make sure it complied with the regs

I recently been doing this race over and over in different cars.
  • Lexus LFA
  • '13 SRT Viper
  • NSX
  • RX7
  • Toyota FT-1
  • MP4-12C
  • 458 Italia
  • Mustang Boss
  • Suzuki GSR
  • Caterham
  • Elise 114R
all are capable of winning with Caterham, Elise, GSR being able to go full race without pitting. NSX needed 1L of fuel when I pitted, RX7 depending on what tyres you use can go the distance, I used Sports Soft. My strategy with the other cars is run 6 or so laps on Sports Hard and then switch to Softs

I used ZZ11. But it can be a little bit difficult, if you are a "bad" driver.

AMG vision easy for both circuits, no mods or tunes needed.
I also use the BRZ with a high rpm turbo and nitrous for willow springs. that's a bit of fun (no pit stop needed)

Somebody stated earlier that they hate Ascari. Wow! I adore that track(but individualism is GOOD). The way you decelerate into/accelerate out of corners there, it's very satisfying. Plus the fact that the pp limit is 650, allows for any road car to be used(European super/hyper cars are generally my favourite vehicles).

Unfortunately, the conservative driving of the A.I. means that winning there is almost a foregone conclusion, so my objective is, how many cars can i lap. Once, in an FXX, i managed to lap the entire field, by the end of lap nine... And that was with two stops!

I used the Ferrari FXX easy win both races, both of them done with over 30 secound lead.

Used the Ferrari F430 Scuderia acquired as a prize and tuned it without any power increase or weight reduction, it made for a very enjoyable experience (except for hitting an invisible wall when exiting the pit at Ascari but not being able to do anything about it because the car was being driven by the game).

I did the same with the Rocket (tuned to about 600PP), and it was too easy really.

I never liked Ascari when I first tried it but it definitely grows on you, was very easy in the Rocket as you don't have to make a pit stop.

Similarly, an easy win at Brands Hatch over 15 laps as the AI stopped twice, once when it started raining and again when it stopped.

I won the Willow Springs race with an Aventador stopping halfway. First time I tried it I used the fuel recommended by the game and while leading, ran out of fuel on the last corner. Whoops. 2nd time I added a little extra. I don't think it was tuned but I definitely have all aero mods on the car.

Honestly I gloss over the 'easy win' and 'no pit' responses...what's the point when the AI don't offer up any resistance? The Huayras brake early, the Veyrons brake even earlier and chug fuel like it's water, the Vipers, Corvettes, Alfa 'Viper' and One-77 roast their tires and often end up off track, and everything else is just slow. Maybe it's just me, but what's so scary about making it a little challenging? One later run, I used a completely stock (as it comes from the dealership, anyway) LFA N Pac to not only win, but pitted after 8 laps fow 10 liters and new SH tires to acquire the 'By The Skin Of Your Teeth' trophy; both the two Huayras in the grid were hounding me constantly as I conserved fuel and tires and it was hands down the most fun I've had in Career Mode.

This wasn't targeted at any one person, nor intended to denigrate or alienate--I was just throwing my two cents into the pot.

For Ascari, I use the LCC Rocket with zero mods. This invariably causes A.I. to field a whole bunch of Veyrons and ultra powerful cars. Which plays beautifully into your hands (if you are driving the Rocket) because it's a "handling" course. Veyrons and other supercars have a ton of horsepower but are also stupidly heavy and under steer like ten mother-****ers (try the "S" License final test and you'll see what I mean). Everyone ends up eating tires within a few laps. I've driven the Rocket on "softs" without a single stop and I always end up lapping the entire field. The key is to be always smooth and consistent.
@TexRex - I might try your approach. Thanks!
Yeah the final S class license test was the hardest one
