green onions, best played lining up a rod and a 55 chevy :D

lacquer - behind

satriani - driving at night, best played...driving at night :D

Haven't posted here in years. How's it going guys?

Lot's of good selections (Impressed with OP's selection for Daiki Kashos Skyscraper) thus far.

In fact Skyscraper was probably my favourite until I heard this song which just OOZES cool:

The Adventure - Angels and Airwaves.

Great song for cruising at night, or just about any other situation.

That would have been so much better in Simlish.

This song

[snip]

is my favorite song to drive to.

Well, will be. Someday.

Meh, bumblebee sound. No thanks. THIS song is far superior :sly:

My car:

Or if you want something a little louder, my dad's car:

As far as some other music is concerned, this song is great to add to the other great classic rock that has been mentioned:

The sound of a Formula 1 car is one of the best noises a car can make IMO. That "bumblebee" sound is closer to that than what you posted.

Our Ford Winstar sounds like that. No thanks.

*stir*

EDIT: But really. Fartcan = Bumble bee.

Buddy Club Spec 2 = Race exhaust.

I can't believe nobody's posted this yet.

Matt Munro - On Days Like These

EDIT: Video doesn't seem to want to display properly. I'll try again tomorrow.

Your Ford Windstar...sounds like the 2 videos I posted? It sounds like my dad's 66 Chevelle with a 383ci bored and stroked small block V8 and my Mustang H/C/I 5.0? I suggest you go to the doctor and have your ears cleaned out...

American rumble > whiny crying baby sound (aka F1, fart can, etc). I fail to see how the sound of a crying baby sounds manly. *stir*

Now there's a real race car with real music. Kthxbye. :D

On a serious note...I've ridden in a friend's RSX with an HKS exhaust, and that sounded nice cause it was a deeper sound. I do not like high pitched engine notes, but that particular car sounded nice.

Best driving song... I have to say Mr. Blue Sky by ELO. My Mom and I went driving in the SLK230, and when this song played, it just made the feeling better. Of course it was 80 degrees on a clear day. With the top down.

Exhaust leak ;)

I don't need my car to be manly for me though.

This the better chunk of my driving playlist on my iPod. There's others, but these are the ones that I added specifically for driving to. The rest were added just to listen to while driving and get skipped if I am in a fun mood.

Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin
Rock and Roll - Led zeppelin
Tribute - Tenacious D
Dio - Tenacious D
The Road - Tenacious D
The Bad Touch - The Bloodhound Gang
I'm So Sick - Flyleaf
Monster - sparkle*jets u.k.
I Want it All - Eve's Plum
Magic Carpet Ride (Fatboy Slim Latin Ska Acid Breakbeat Mix) - the only remix I really like that wasn't done by/with the original artist.

And the entire soundtrack to Gran Tursimo 2: Music at the Speed of Sound (Minus Unforgiven - Creed). And yes, I own this CD.

You forgot about the grand champion of driving songs with guitar solos...you know what song I'm saying? Alright, hold on tight...

"I'm a highway staaaaar!"

I like listening to music during replays, but I can't really deal with music during play. I need to hear the engine sound, however bad some of them might be. I have to hear the shift points just right.

I would've put that one down as well, it was actually another Top Gear driving song. Although to me, it isn't a driving song. It is a great song, not a driving one.

How'd I forget this one? Fat Boy Slim - Ya Mama

Some lovely Alice Cooper. mah fav song of his

Then we have some Earthbound. my FAVORITE techno group.

then we have another great great driving song pardon the non regular video its kinda cool actually.

Depends on what, J-tek and N.W.A in low mode, crap/good (depends on how you view it) 80s songs in the Rolla, goes with the character. Try driving to Free Bird, real cruiser-song.

I did search "Driving song" but nothing came up this side of 2003. So I thought I'd make this thread. Just post your personal favourite driving song, for me I nominate 'Kickstart My Heart' by Motley Crue.

The Cult-She Sells Sanctuary

It is physically impossible to drive slow to this song.

Rock and Roll by Led Zep
Always liked this song since Caddy used it in an add.

"I'm a highway staaaaar!"

All good choices I love driving to.
I'm also very fond of Spiderbait's version of Black Betty. Hell, even the video is pretty sweet. :D

I'm gonna have to nominate "Hold On Loosely" by .38 Special and "Turn The Page" by Metallica

For the easy listening I would go for something more relaxing to listen to while on the road

Brian Eno - An Ending
