I dunno, just felt like posting this.

Out of the Speed 12, Lotus Elise, Jaguar XJ220, Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and the Lister Storm V12, what is your favourite.

I reckon the V12 Vanquish look the best but the Speed 12 is the best performance wise.

You should have included a few more options! I want to nominate the McLaren F1. Great car, faster than the XJ220, looks great, and is much more expensive than most cars on the road. I don't like the Speed 12, though other TVR's such as the Cerbera, Chimera and Griffith look great. The Lotus Elise just ain't my cup of tea, though I do like the Vauxhall VX220(Opel Speedster), which is based on the Elise underpinings. Never have been a great fan of Astons, and the Lister looks too much like a wedge. Oh, and the XJ220 will never be high on my list, seeing as when it was launched it didn't have half the things on it that were promised, such as 4WD and a bigger, beefier engine.

Land Rover Defender wagon (could do anything ever anywhere)

Jaguar XKR coupe in red (with huge wheels and thin tyres)(vroom)

Aston Vanquish V12 (as if there was a V-6 or something)

Overoll, I prefer the 2003 Range Rover as my type of english luxury SUV.

Well on the Sportsedan segment, I choose the Jag S-Type R, 400hp of blistering British brute.

Hard-Core SUV, no comparison, Land Rover D90 (Defender 90)

Performance-wise, the top-of-the-line TVR Cerbera (execpt the Speed 12)

Exotic, Aston Martin V12 Vanquish (before it was Project Vantage).

Everyday car, of course, the Mini Cooper S.

NEW ENTRANTS:
McLaren F1
Opel Speedster
New Mini
Tuscan S
Plus all the others at the beginning :D

I reckon the McLaren F1 'cause it just rocks.

BTW, I wasn't quite sure if the McLaren was English or not, so that's why it wasn't added

yes, the lengendary xj220. did u know that its top speed was only about 217-18. It never made it to 220.

Tuscan... It just lookes like it means business.
and the little blue job on the left was "born" in England.:D

It is a V6! I know! I also know it's turbocharged, don't know if it is twin turbocharged though.

Hang on, I'll check my automative resources. :D

BTW, I have actually seen a Jaguar XJ220 in real life, looks sooo ****in' sweet

Actually I was right it was a V6, i said it first, and the top speed is 219.2 not 218, I know this becuz I found my book of the world's fastest cars late last night.

but I already knew it was a V6 and the site I went to said it was 218mph

I'll go check my book then with all the fast, sweet sports cars :)

Your book is wrong!!!!

It never made it up to 220mph it was 219.X...

it was tested on the nardo track in italy. the track's banking scrubs off some speed, so 220 is possible.

It was also tested on the Nurenburg Ring and that is where the 219 came from that I know of, SpeedVision had a 30 min show about the XJ220 and thats where most of my info comes from, the book helps a little
