Hi there interwebs!
I was wondering what the best FF car is.
I'm doing all of the a spec races over again and for the beginners class I need an ff car - I don't want to drive a slow civic hahaha

And sorry if there's another thread like this out there, I searched and couldnt find anything.
Thanks!

Certainly don't need the "best" FF car for that race, but the "slow Civic" would be useful in the 90s Japanese series and Race Modifying it is always an option. A valid argument against the SRT4, however, is one along the lines of: "traction is good."

I know, I just don't want to fall asleep of boredomness hahaha

I did them a few weeks back in A spec with a Celica, which got faster as I got money to boost it!
Now I'm putting my Bobs through it with a hotted up Mini Cooper S. All I have to do is tell them to slow down sometime in the first lap when they're in the lead.

Honda Integra Type R Touring Car and Trial Celica SS-II (ZZT231) are some very quick stock FF cars.

The Honda Integra Type R (DC5) '04 in the New Car Dealership is under 30,000 Cr and is decently fast stock, plus it can be Race Modified.

Some other nice ones: Honda Mugen Motul Civic Si Race Car '87 (Prize car), Honda Civic Type R (EK) '97 (can be RMed), Ford Focus RS '02, and Honda Gathers Drider Civic Race Car '98 are all pretty decent, too. Good power-to-weight ratios stock, though the race cars can't be modified as much as the road cars.

That said, all of the above, even stock, are beyond overkill for this race.

There are many good FF cars, Civic type R, FTO, Scirocco, Mini Cooper, Integra Type R, and power isn't everything

Any post EK3 Civic, post DC5 '01 Integra, or '02 Accord Euro-R. My favourite is the CR-X Si-R '90, [Opinion] love it so much, incredible handling, good accel and top speed, even without turbocharging :) [/Opinion]

Trial Celica or Honda CR-Z TC for handling, if you just want downright dirty amounts of power then the aforementioned SRT4.

I'm about to release a thread with all of the FF premium cars tested equally on Top Gear Test track. You can see the results there soon. I haven't tested every FF car as there are so many so I'm only doing standards by personal request

FTO is hard to beat stock on a track with long straights.

And can be made even better with only mild tuning. But go for the GP Version R or the GPX as these were equipped with MIVEC and are rated at 197hp. For a completely stock production FF car, it's difficult to beat the Prelude Type S, and of course it can be made that much better with tuning.
