Evening

I appreciate all of your previous opinions but am now looking for the best French car which is not a race or rally version.

I can use any upgrades, tyres etc and will use it on the Circuito de Madrid.

Can only use ABS and traction is that helps.

Cheers 👍

if there´d be the renault r5 turbo (street version) as premium car it´d be one of the greatest in the game ;) love this little monster

What about the Peugeot 908 ?

I'm glad that it's street legal and not a race car.

Then again: GT by Citroen. It's not available for purchase but handles a lot better than the Veyron.

Yeah, I realized my mistake right after I submitted... guess my edit wasn't quick enough :) That's what I get for posting at work when I can't look at my PS3.

I'll stand by the Citroen being better, though

Yeah, I was thinking obviously Veyron but I traded mine away! Aaargh

Never driven the GT by Citroen so wanted to know if that could challenge.

106:-) haha only joking.the bugatti is designed by voltswagon isn't it?

Volkswagen. Bugatti is under the Volkswagen Auto Group along with many other brands like Seat, Audi, etc.

As to the percentage of design and production done in the physical French office for the Veyron, no idea. It's considered a French car by nearly any definition.

Oh right.Jeremy clarkson said it was owned by voltswagon never said anything about French so now I know it's French I can sleep better now I know that:-)

Volkswagen

Clarkson says a lot of stuff that doesn't really match reality. I wouldn't get car facts from Top Gear.

Fully tuned Clio V6 !! Will own the veyron on a racetrack easily , handles like a dream and it's an existing car unlike the Citroën

Are you for real? Don't get car facts from top gear? haha that's the funniest thing I have heard all year haha

You know, if people would post complete thoughts with a reason rather than a snide remark and a laugh there would be less flaming on this board.

Why is it bad advice to not take Top Gear as fact?

You didn't know Bugatti was French because Clarkson only mentioned "voltswagon", and I informed you that they were French. This is seems like exactly why not to take Top Gear as fact.

Top Gear is primarily entertainment, not education. Most of the time they'd rather make jokes and make their favorite cars look great and cars they don't care for look terrible, that or over-drive the heck out of something around the track for the cameras.

I do watch and enjoy the show but I'd never base any real car decision on anything they say.

Well it's true, Top Gear is an entertainment show nowadays, they don't bother researching their facts anymore.

On Topic: The obvious answer is the Veyron but I'd say the Clio V6 when tuned is a good all-rounder.

'85 Peugeot 205 Turbo.. I like some others also besides the obvious FRENCH monsters (GT by Citroen/Bugatti)

I have the best time driving the peugeot 205 turbo:tup: and LOL at people who believe everything Jeremy Clarkson says, Great show though.

A real French monster would be a Parisian taxi driver. Just take a cab at the Charles de Gaulle Airport and tell him that you have to arrive at the Pont de Sevres in 25 minutes. Have fun.

I think, for this race, and for any course with lots of tight turns and no super long straights, you must go with the Clio Renaults. There are a few available, in both UCD and New Premiums. I absolutely love driving them. I buy one each time it is in the UCD and will keep doing so until i have them all. The Lutecias are fine, but the Clio is a great little car. Obviously much MUCH cheaper than the Veyrons etc. that everyone mentioned above. It would be lovely to beat a 2mil. credit car in a 40k one, wouldn't it? I would bet that on Madrid it would be be possible.

Last time I checked the Veyron was free for winning the championship. That's cheaper then any Clio I suspect. đź’ˇ
