I'm trying to hookup 4 IDE devices(2 HDDs & 2 DVD/RW drives) and I'm trying to figure out the best way to hook them up. Before now I use to have a SATA drive as well as 1 IDE HDD and 2 DVD/RW drive. Well the SATA was failing on me so I dug out a 30GB IDE drive that I've had for awhile and want to set that up as the main drive. My main problem is how do I set up the power arrangement for these 4 IDE drives? I have 2 IDE power cables coming from my 500W power supply. I also have a floppy drive. Do I hookup the hard drives on one and the DVD drives/floppy drives on the other? Do I split it up where one hard drive is on both and a DVD drive is one both with one of cables connecting to the floppy? I'm just alittle confused.

Doesn't really matter which way you do it, but I'd put both DVDs on one IDE cable, and both HDDs on the other. Just set one of each to master/slave.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with Powering them, they'll all require 4 pin Molex, and if you don't have that many then you can't use them all.

Both IDE power cables coming from the power supply have 3 per cable so that isnt the problem. I guess I was thinking that if I put both HDDs on the same power cable that it would cause problems. I suppose I'm not saying this in the right way. I apologize.
