what are the good japanese import tuner cars (HKS, Mines, Blitz, etc) I want to get one for the tuning car grand prix, i have other regular cars that qualify, but i like to get cars that are similar to the ones im racing against. i dont really have any knowledge on these, and dont want to waste the little money i have on sumthing that sucks.

thanks =]

The Amuse S2000 from the new dealer is pretty amazing. I'd suggest that. Though, you'll destroy the AI with that car.

There are also a few versions that show up in the used lot that are pretty darn good as well and might be more balanced against the AI.

I like the Amuse Z. It's not going to blow you away with speed since it tops out below 500hp, but the car handles great. Excellent balance and easy to drive at the limit.

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo.
Incredibly quick, awesome handling...just buy it;)
But the other tuner cars are awesome too.

guess ill have to try out that amuse s2000, need 2 more levels to be able to drive it tho, ill just do other races for now

Quick question for some of you who do have this car. The HKS CT230R. How's that car? I just got mine from a level 21 ticket.

I wouldn't recommend getting any of the NSX's if you're bad with throttle control. I had a RAYBRIG and it skidded like a nightmare the entire 9-hour Tsukuba Race :scared:. I managed to still win by 5 laps because of my upgraded engine

The BLiTZ ER34 can be tuned to be very fast, but you'll have to change the set up so it stops being a drift car.

I've been holding off on that car until i figured out HOW fast(hp),do you know off hand?

Amuse Nismo 380rs super leggera Is a great car also . Runs great and handling is spot on . I have no interest or respect for tuners until I got this car and tried it out and it has also brought me back to enjoying GT5 .

The Mine's skyline completely stock with an oil change is a hoot. Just don't upgrade tires, it makes it far too unrealistic

The High Performance G35, as it has a PS3 in the back :sly:

Yo dawg, I herd you liek playing PS3 so we put a PS3 in yo PS3 so that you can play while you play.

@OP: Anything that suits your liking, but sometimes it's better to make your own tuned car. 💡

Haven't tried most of the tuned cars yet, but how about the GT 350Z RS?

I bought the amuse super leggera, was short on funds and its only 100,000 cr, bought everything except customizable tranny and suspension and body rigidity, including racing softs, only set me back 94,000 more, it was 519 hp with oil change, gained about 20 more horsepower after break in, and this thing drove like jesus on wheels. For 194,000 credits u get one hell of a car, destroyed the tuning car grand prix, (the racing softs might have been a little too much), except for the last race at R246 where the amuse s2000 started at pole and flew off, but i caught him in the second to last lap. I also used it for the GT championship, against calsonic GTRs, takata NSXs, historic race cars, and wiped the floor with them. The bmw Mclaren f1 also gave me some trouble, but i out cornered him and won. I got quite a bit of cash from those 2 and ima try out the amuse gt1, im also gonna see if i can find some nice setups for the super leggera, i really enjoyed driving the car, and the cockpit view is nice and spacious. Real bargain this car

Edit: I did try with sports softs as well since racing softs can make any car amazing, all i needed was some minimal throttle control and i was good to go, still handled great
