Which cars are the best to use in each class? I've been playing a lot of DriveClub recently and I'm struggling to find what produces the best times, it will make my career a lot easier!
Thanks

These are what I found beat others in the career although as it gets to the faster ones and wet laps its all about your driving ;)
hot hatch- Golf-wins hands down
Sports-RS5-powerful on straights and wins most times (+online races)
Performance-RUF RGT8 -make sure you use this to get fast times on career holds corners like glue
Super-depends how good at light cars you are-atom can be good or 430/458/RT12 I prefer
Hyper-P1 as has kers etc on pressing x- although I prefer F1LM or Venom/Agera R to take corners faster

Only my list I am sure others have different views but should help you out a little bit 👍

It's a tricky situation really, as some tracks are more technical, thus mixing it up a bit. You also need to be in a club with the four cars unlocked for them to be available, and they are all good, believe you me.

Like torque says, the Golf will get you everywhere in the hot-hatch races. Above that though is where it can depend on the track. The Bentley club car is good with long straights, something worth remembering, but less good on the tighter tracks.

You could always put some time into single event TT or race and find out which suits your style best, plus that helps level you and your club up to get more cars.

i cant say that the golf or the mini are the best in the hot hatch class. I've won several races in the beetle.
but in my opinion for each class.
sports : Mercedes CLA45
performance: Aston Martin Zagato
super: GTA Spano
Hyper: Lykan?

DLC changed things a bit, too:

In sports, the Caterham R500 destroys everything on most tracks.
In hyper, the Venom annihilates everything except the Koenigsegg One:1 in the dry.

Definitely, the R500 dominates on most tracks, with the exception of very high speed tracks. To be honest, it should be in the super class which the amount of acceleration it has!

I'm team RUF (the 911 ones) love these things, don't think I've lost an online race with any.

Purely in terms of lap times (depending on track):

Hot hatch: Volkswagen Golf GTI / MINI John Cooper Works GP
Sports: Audi RS 5 coupé
Performance: Ruf RGT-8
Super: Caterham SP/300.R / Renault Twin'Run Concept
Hyper: Hennesey Venom GT / McLaren P1 / Pagini Zonda R

Hot hatch: Renault Clio rs
Sports: audi rs5
Performance maserati gran turismo mc stradale
Super: bac mono/Renault twin'run concept(fun and surprisely fast car for how small it is.)
Hyper: jaguar cx-75/the mentally insane Hennessy venom

yes that Caterham is such a good car to drive. sticks to the road and has great brakes. only wish it was a tad faster but can usually destroy the opposition easily enough.

Hot Hatch - Golf
Sports - Audi RS5
Performance - BMW M5 2013 (you may think it's slow but I've beaten faster and lighter cars online with ease)
Super - Ferrari F12 or the BAC MONO depends on the track
Hyper - P1 on circuits and Venom on Point to point... that is until One:1 comes along and takes a big dump on all the other cars in the game

Hot hatch: GOLF GTI
Sports: AUDI RS5
Performance: RUF RGT8
Super: BAC MONO (just my opinion, the Atom accelerates like a beast, but there isn't enough grip on the front wheels, and you always find yourself having either oversteer or understeer, it just can't decide)
Hyper: Koenigsegg Agera R
