What is the best Le Man Racecar in GT5?

I've tried the Minolta Toyota, but at low speed it really stinks ><.
The Corvette ZR-1 RM is alright, kind of average.

I'm looking for the best Le Man kind of car there is.

Also, post your opinion about the best in terms of speed, acceleration, and handling.

They are all good. The Minolta is good all around but is a bit hard on tires and fuel. The thing is that you need to set the gears properly for the track you are going to run. The Minota can be a high speed rocket or a low speed rocket as can pretty much any group C LMP.

If you are geared to do over 230 your low speed acceleration will suffer and if you are geared for max low speed acceleration your top speed will suffer.

This is the same for every car's gear ratios.

They are all very evenly matched. LMPs from late 80s-early 90s will have a higher top speed than newer ones. This doesn't mean that the newer ones are slow by any means.

But I want to invest my money in a LM car that, how do I say it.

Just "right" in almost everything.

I'm not liking the Minolta because it wheel speed too much at low speeds(I know it can be corrected by proper throttle control and tuning), and I'm not a vette fan.

They're all gonna have a lot of wheelspin...most make north of 600hp.

Personally if I were going to buy one it would be the Mazda 787B no doubt about it. It may not be the fastest nor the most powerful but it is a great car. Has good acceleration, better tire wear and fuel milage than most and I love the way it drives.

The Audi R8 is also a good car with good tire wear and mileage or at least it was on GT4 and it is always getting 2nd behind me in the Indy 500 always the fastest and the last to pit.

The 908 and Audi R10 are both good but these each have a lot of torque especially the 908 so if you are concerned about low speed wheel spin you may want to avoid these.

Hmmm..

I heard the 787B was really good too, but I'm kind of more biased to buy the newer and premium models, because I only drive in cockpit view. But I'll think about the 787B.

787B is for you then

Best LMP for me is Peugeot 908. Good acceleration, speed and aerodynamics. Alot of wheel spin if you lower your driving aids down.

If you like the cockpit view, I would stay away from the 908. It's a good car though.

What's wrong with the 908's cockpit?

And I'm really looking towards the modern LM, unless someone can convince me otherwise.

The windshield is very small and I find it a bit difficult to see out of. It really is a GREAT car though. Mine has about a tenth of my garage's total mileage.

I personally bought the jaguar xjr-9 LM race care. Fastest computer car in high level events. The minolta is a great all around car. Just a notch or two below formula gt

I never really liked the 908 from cockpit either. Haven't driven it on GT yet but I have in Forza quite a bit. It is a strong car for sure and a hard one to beat. I actually like the Audi R10 better especially when driving from cockpit view but I still love that old Mazda. I have won a lot of races with that thing.

The Pescarolo's are two of the better LMP's, the Audi R10 and the Peugeot are also very good. The newer LMP's have better cornering and are easier on their tires than the older Group C LMP's. The Sauber C9 and the Nissan R92CP are two monsters of the Group C, they are practically the two fastest cars in their race ready form. If you aren't good with throttle management, get one of the newer cars as they are extremely stable and have great tire wear. I aim to own them all as I did in GT4 :D, nothing better than to go online and have your choice of butt whup to choose to deal out on other drivers.:D

SO the R10 from the Dealship? :P. and I saw a Sauber C9 in the used dealship it cost around 4M, not enough money :P.

But I might get a 787B

I'm used to the way it is. If your having trouble of seeing the road just readjust the position.

I always forget about this feature. If I do use the optimal view to see out of the windshield I feel like I have my nose pressed up against the inside of it.

I usually drive from the far-est position.

And I have no problem seeing the road.

I have a silly question.....if i buy the car from the dealership, does the system automatically saved everything? i wanna try all the cars and pick the best one....

YIN

Auto-save is permanently on.

I like the Audi R10, it's been good to me except on the damn Nürburgring. some of that is i don't like that track so i don't remember the turns to well.

What about the bentley speed 8?
I have the audi R10 and was tempeted to get the bentley thinking it might be better or do you think the R10 is better?
Any Advice?

IMO:
Mercedes Sauber C9
Peugeot 908
Toyota 88C-V (Why does everyone call this car "Minolta"?)

The Audi R10 handles very well, but is this the slowest LMP racer in GT5?
