Why do people like Rei? because Rei Ayanami is beautiful in all her gorgeous, cold-color, blue hair mistery. the design of the girl is cool. she is cold. and Im not saying that because I know that she is like that in the series. way before I saw EVA, I was looking at the very first pics I had seen of the characters. and I remember that Rei fascinated me, because she looked so misterious and... sad. unexpressive. cold. damn how I liked that. I love how she looks.
anyway, there are a lot of anime gals that I like. Rei is indeed one of them. very cool. another one is Julia, from Cowboy bebop. again, sad looking woman, and just plain beautiful.
another girl I like is Mayumi, from Blue sub # 6. she is cool too...
another one is Sara Mudou, from angel sanctuary. she, and organic angel Jibrille from the very same anime look plain cool, too. sadness and darkness are in for me, I think. how they are drawn by Kaori Yuki is impressive.

one design I really love is Maetel. she of Leiji Matsumoto fame, along with queen emeraldas. If you ever saw the Daft ounk videos you know what Im talking about, because most of the girl design from mr matsumoto look almost the same, but they look incredibly aesthetic, in my opinion. just look @ these beauties!

however, there are three designs that just drive me crazy. they are Umi Ryuuzaki, Hikaru Shidou and, MOST OF ALL, Fuu Hououji, all three from magic knight rayearth, the fantastic CLAMP manga. these three designs are the three girls I LOVE most. and of the three, Fuu, the one with glasses, drives me crazy. my avatar shows. she has been the only anime girl with wich I've had a crush. I simply and absolutely love how she looks.
