Just a thought and probably won't come to light. I feel a "Best Motoring/Hot Version" Special Event would've been a great addition to GT5 or even a Tsuchiya Driving Academy. There is some potential with that idea using races based off of the series. I know there are NA races and alot of the grids are stacked with cars commonly seen on the show, but the short touge track would make for some intense racing using the time split to determine the winner. Granted the AI would have to step up just a notch when they are in the chase position. I'm happy with GT5, maybe this could be an addition to the next installment?

Thoughts?

Since Best Motoring TV show and its subsidiaries have officialy come to an end - the shows are over, company is on the way to closure, etc.. - have a small hopes for such, although it would be great.

Agree 100% Tsuchiya should have been included.

Le Mans, JGTC and his part in the Drift series too - what more does someone have to do?

Jeff Gordon and Vettel got their driving schools and challenge, why on earth Tsuchiya didn't is crazy - but that's Polyphony and GT5 summed up to a T really.

I guess they had done enough for the Japanese market already, they probably looked at the car list in GT5 and thought ".......hmmm, maybe we should do something for the European and American markets too??.....".

Then they come up with the brainwave of having a top European and American driver included, so it 'looks good' and has worldwide recognition.

Probably wasn't the case (imagine some kind of technicality stopped it), but wouldn't surprise me if it was...

That is some real sad news to hear. I really enjoyed watching Best Motoring, hot version and Touge trials.

Keiichi "Dorikin" Tsuchiya is a legend as is Motoharu "Gan-san" Kurosawa, they really pushed all the cars they drove to the edge, i loved Tsuchiya's love for the Haiki rochu and NA cars.

Sad day for motoring this.

To say they were biased to JDM machines was unfair they got a lot of tasy european motors and a few muscle cars.

:ill:
:grumpy:

A touge event in Gt5 would be awesome, only RWD car though !!

on a side note i learnt to drift/powerslide myself with Keiichi "DRIFT KINGS" Tsuchiya drift bible. just reapeatdly watching and doing. broke one bbs rim and a trailing arm in the process. 👍

Much respect and thanks to the Best motoring crew and hot version crew.

Best Motoring lets the cars do the talking and they only talk about one thing: driving performance 👍

Noooo wwaaayyyy that sucks! I was waiting for them to add more BM content to GT-TV so I could buy it! I've already bought 4 or 5 of the episodes that I didn't already have on DVD. I hope they bring the online option to fruition. I'd definitely sign up for that site if it had the same content and quality as the BM series on DVD. I think it could work, you'd save a lot of money not having to print and ship a bunch of DVDs.

BM is the epitome of car-nerd porn. Sucks to see it chopped like that.

Wow and this news is from today.
I just recently started watching the old international series so I don't know alot about BM but If they still sold DVDs then it's indeed time to move on to selling online.
Japan's always been slow at internet developments.
I have a feeling things will be alright.

On topic, they could've put some touge battles in GT5, plus special mountain tracks.

As mentioned on course maker 'improvements' - simply allow an option for the track to be either a closed circuit or point to point 'road'.

Then we would be able to create these type of courses for ourselves - that would be so cool.

We could do Hillclimbs too :D

Yeah and I want a hachiroku premium.

Ya gotta check out the Supra 88 premium if ya haven't already, it sets a good time on tsubuka
