Does anyone have any idea what the best car would be for rallying, that isnt a rally car itself? preferably AWD.

besides that as well, I've got that :) i want something that doesnt look out of place for rallying as well, so nothing like an AWD audi R8 :L

Lancia Delta Integrale
Also the Audi Quattro, very fun car to toss around.

Is there a list anywhere to see all the cars than can have dirt tyres?

In a weird sort of way, the stock Lancia Stratos looks totally out of place as a rally car, but they were awesome rally cars.

Haven't tried taking a stock one and turning it into a rally car, though. Its ability to turn in is pretty amazing, so it might make a good rally car in the game.

without traction control on the stratos is kind of hard to handle. it definitely takes some practice.

RUF CTR 'Yellowbird'

I used an Audi TT for the beginner rally events. :)

I used the 4WD Celica for the beginner rally events. Celica GT4 or something.

Most of the cars mentioned so far are road going versions of rally cars. I'm not sure if that's what you were looking for, but I'll suggest the FT-86. Not the crazy paint one, just the regular concept.

It wasn't ideal in snow but on tarmac and gravel stages it was a lot of fun.

I also used the Subaru Legacy wagons.

The RUF likes being out of shape so it's not that bad for rallying.

Audi RS6?
Tuned mine to 900BHP, 1500kg. A bit difficult to handle obviously, but a monster

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) '69 Used mine on Toscana with no assists and was as fast as my '98 Celica GT-Four. Also likes to drift around sharp corners.

The subuaru Rm is defiantly the best for the specials
with the new update lowered the power to 245bhp and 345bhp

I actually used a Toyota FT-86 concept, slightly modded, for the beginner rally events.

hatch civic is good and fun. AWD? sti or evo easy choice.

The '04 Elise RM. The thing sticks to dirt like it's tarmac

The Ruf RGT is surprisingly good

Fiat 500. It climbs hills like nothing else in this world :dopey:

Practice and RUF Yellowbird or BTR will make you a superman driver!
+1 what tweeters said, the Elise 111R RM did nearly every rally special event for me!

Lotus Elise 111r is awesome for dirt tracks, failing that the Subaru Impreza WRX STi worked really well for me...

A non-rally car that is good for rallying? The Homologation moddels of the Group B cars!

Peugeot 205 Turbo16
Audi Quatro
Ford RS200
Renault 5 Turbo
Lancia's and Toyota Celicas.

All these cars can be tuned to be real bests if wanted, and my favorite, the 205 Turbo16 is a hell of a car(IMO).
