Best overall gr4 for online racing

You will probably get a different answer from everyone who will post on this topic.
Like others have said go with a car you feel fits your driving style.

Now with that being said I think the Hurricane might be the most well balanced Gr.4 car across all tracks but please don't confuse that as being the fastest.
It's AWD for people getting used to driving without assist. It's has great takeoff from a slow speed and pulls hard. It also doesn't suffer from understeer as bad like most AWD cars.
It's really easy to drive fast.

Pretty chronic understeer on the Huracan. You need to drive it in a very specific way to generate lap time, brake a bit early, early apex and floor it on the way out, more V of the apex than a U.

I don't think it's (Trophy) that OP. You have to rev it out for speed and with such a heavy BoP cut in power and you'll rarely see what it can do up top apart from on the very longest straights with a draft.

Just the same as all your other track strength and weakness specific cars, it's just an option.

Funny I noticed none of this with a DS4. I'm just as hard on the Hurricane coming out of the corners as I am with any RWD car and it displays little understeer compared to the other AWD Gr.4 cars.

I feel the Lancer has a bit less. I have driven the Huracan more than any other car because with the DS4 it's hard to modulate throttle but over time i am finding RWD faster as i get better.

I feel most of the AWD cars are harder to drive than the RWD. I just can't turn the same lap times, and in races with tire wear, they seems to just destroy their front tires.

NSX, handles like a dream and has good specs. Saves fuel and tyres very well.
Gr.3 counterpart isn't too shabby either (is actually one of the "hidden gems" of Gr.3), if you're thinking about using the brand for Manufacturer's

i find the NSX Group 3 difficult to race with, I can turn a qualy lap but it's twitchy when racing using DS4 method of "keep wide, tap brake to make the car loose, turn in hard and gas it".

I don't spend much time in AWD cars as I prefer RWD over them all. Everyone's driving style differs in one way or another so I'm not surprised to here you say the Lancer and I know others who say the Subaru. Funny how we can all drive the same car set-up the exact same way but come up with a completely different option. I personally think this is what makes the Gr.4 Class the best of them all. So much of the cars personality traits is still a major factor in this class.

Group 4 is the best by miles. Enough power to be interesting but not cause chaos.

I know right! For me I feel like I'm never pushing these cars enough, and the times do reflect that. But the moment I push harder, it's understeer city

Need to swing VERY wide, apex as V not a U

The Viper is best for my style. The only RWD I can drive with TC-0 on any track in stock settings. Lower to the ground than most and feels faster but not really.

I'm ok with the Lancer on certain tracks, but only if there is no tire wear. I actually am running fairly consistent lap times across all of the gr.4 cars, but I really struggle in the AWD and FF cars.

Exactly this. I loved the Mustangs, the Evos and GT-Rs. The NSXs though. they all got me searching to get the best out of them and myself.

It really did surprise. Doesnt feel or sound fast(bar the GT500 NSX). It still doesn't offer that sense of involvement like the 86. However, I agree it is a real gem in the Manufacturer Series and Daily Races.
