You can download rfactor lite from ther official site. It's like 100-200 mb or something I forget. Check out google. Once you download and install it its ready to be start modding away. You "gotta" get a key for it tho. You can buy one through the site.
But if you had fun with the rallying in gt5 or like rallying. Try out Richard Burns Rally. its fun and unforgiving, sorta like how gt is. I just got a mod RSRBR 2011 and it has a lot of cars. From A russian yugo all the way to the 80s group b monsters. Probably around 20 classes of cars. I just played for 5 hours straight with a 100hp Peugeot and it was awesome. (I couldn't handle group b or even the WRC class!) I would play more but I got work. I GOTTA PAY BILLS MAN!
