I decided to restart my game, just because I'd completed everything and just wanted to start over.

So I did, and i cheated a bit. I bought a Miata (the $16,900 one) and put some super-slicks on it in my complete game.
Then i started a new game and bought the car for $16,900 from my old complete game, with the tires on it.
(although, now Im thinking i should have gone for all golds on the B license and got the LS bonus car, and put tires on it instead :rolleyes: )

Next, i went out and got my IA license and immediately headed for the roadster endurance.

I won that hands down (1:32 ahead of the Miata LS) so i got the $100,000 in prize money, and then as a car, i got the F688/S. :D How lucky is that?
(i managed to get some ok colours too, white with purple stripes and green nose)

so, I've played for maybe 2 hours, i'm on day 34, with over $100K in the bank, and a F1 as my second car. :lol:
i think i'll tackle the Time Trials next and grab that Panoz.

hrm, guess i should change my sig now, those cars are gone for the time being
 
Did you know if you put more modifications on your complete game you would still pay the retail price and when you buy it you start with a beter car already tuned.

I took a slightly different tack on my restart. I got all golds on a the 1A and 1B licenses, sold the Miata, Took the RX-8, won a good chunk on the beginner races with it stock, took the cash, dumped it into the RX-8, won the Championship race on the Beginner level and then just started going through the races with cars I had won and upgraded as little as possible. Recently, i went back for the rest of the licenses (not worried about getting golds) and started rerunning some of my previously run races including the Speedway 150 enduro to try for the F090/S and then started spanking the Amatuer championship series races with the F090/S.

I don't like playing fair with the AI controlled cars. When they stop slamming me around for being in the racing line, (I was just trying to LAP THEM) I will stop spanking them in cars with twice the HP and four times the handling. ;)
 
Win the Panoz and then sell it 500,000 credits in the bank and a piece of crap car out of the way
 
ya, im wishing i had done that now, just so i didnt have this lingering feeling of 'cheater-ness' hanging around me when i play now
heh :D

oh well, it cant be helped. I dont exactly feel like restarting and again and trying my luck to see if i can win the F1 a second time.
 
~we regret to inform you that a small dog has just died after being crushed by a TV thrown from a 3rd story window. No doubt, the person at fault for this tragedy has been trying for 3 hours to complete the complex string time trial~

gads i hate this TT. it's the only one i have left, and i just missed completing it by .037 of a second.

whoever it was at polyphony that thought it'd be fun to make the people who buy their game and pay their salaries go through this hell should be drugged up, have their pants yanked, be tied upside-down to a flagpole, and get smacked around a bit by a wet trout. :trouble:

Why does everybody hate the Panoz? I've only ever driven it in the Laguna Enduro (stock), but I found it pretty pleasant to drive with only a little suspension adjustment.

My plan for the restart (which I'm going to do with the wheel, so I can learn how to drive) is to get the 1A Miata LS (using the DS2) and put tires on it and head straight for the Spec Miata Enduro.
 
i did a restart recently, bought the tureno as a first car then as i saved up 32,000 i purchased a fully modded Evo V GSR from my other card....540bhp....whhooo hoo....it make light work of the beginner, amature and parts of the pro league not to mention decimating the rally stages...

i dont think its cheating, its a reward for all your hard work first time around....when you complete other games you get machine gun with unlimited ammo....the 540 hp Evo is my weapon of choice..:)

I restarted about a month ago, and I was thinking about buying my old Miata off my other card....but I didn't. So, I went to try and gold the B license. after about an hour, I had my IA license, and B1-7 golded. B8 pissed me off royally, so I just went and bought the cheap Miata to get it over with. Ran around in the Beginner league enough to get 10k and some tires, then took it to the enduro. But, my PS2 hates me, so it gave me the exact same Miata that I already had, and it was promptly sold. Then...off to the tune shop and beginner races again!

But anyway...buying an old car off your old mem. card isn't really cheating......it's just gaining a cheap and unfair advantage :p
 
B8? really, i found it significantly easier than B7.
When i went for all golds on my last game, i spent far too much time on B7. The MR-S doesnt agree with my style, at all. Either that, or the time restrictions on that test are harder than the rest. Whatever the case.

I don't know cos the Panoz is a good car and if you know how to set it you can win the Pro GT All stars.

I must be chopped liver (which, cooked right I like too BTW) cause one of my favorite cars to drive IS the Panoz... It is a little challenging at first but once you get a good setup on it, you can be pretty competitive with it!

Lots of good info on it in the write-ups as I recall. At least I think that is where I first started thinking I ought to give it a second chance having benched it at first. Seems to me someone did a Laguna Seca race with it or something in the write-ups that got me interested.;) Hmmm... Wonder who that might have been??? :rolleyes:
