1996 Lotus Elise RM. I love that burble while idling:drool:
 
Aston Martin DB9 has a beautiful sound,
The Mercedes AMG SLS is also amazing.
My two favourites have to be the Mazda RX-8 and the Toyota FT-86.
 
just jump across to shift 2 if you wanna hear phenominal engine tones -- hehe
 
My favorite is the Shelby Cobra, Crazy good with he stock exhaust

it pisses me off that 95% of standards sound like vacuum cleaners
and the 50% of premiums sound nothing like their real life counterparts
but anyway its definitely the gt40 and 788b

GT40 sounds kinda meh, but the Ford GT does sound nice.
 
Why havent anybody said the Mazda 787b yet? :D Sounds fantastic when accelerating. I also like the sound of the Ford GT40. ;)
 
The RUF CTR and BTR both have the Porsche car sound, close to real at idle and at speed.

I like Honda S2000 GT1 Turbo so gorgeous sound and NSX Super GT, Peugeot 908 HDi (LMP) and Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 I love that sound(when 6,000 rpm I like that sound so hard to describle the sound of Peugeot can anyone explain describle of Peugeot 205 Turbo 16?.

Yeah I noticed that the '00 Z06 seems to have the deepest rumble of any car in the game.
 
the Viper ACR sounds very mean, the Supra RZ has a unique tone as well
 
i like the supra, but when you put a customizable tranny on and race exhaust the cars sound the same. and it quite annoying
But a izuzu concept at the right revs sounds good
 
I really like:

'65 GT-350R, they sound pretty much like that in real life, makes me happy every time I hear it.
Viper ACR, this thing sounds great in game with any exhaust
HPA TT, I'll agree with the previous poster who said it sounds sinister, I love the car! Plus it burns donuts like nobody's business
'70 Trans-Cammer is super sick

Consistently disappointed in:

All of the Ferraris, the 512, the 599, the Enzo, and the F40 have all been disappointments honestly, although the V12 599 sounds the best IMO.

Most of the Lamborghinis, the exception being the Murcielago Superveloce is okay, not super awesome, but acceptable.
