Recently bought a Logitech G27 and have been trying to get used to using it. its been taking a while so far as I only get the play for an hour or so each night.

Have been driving all cars manual with no aids and was interested in knowing what everyones favourite training track for learning how to use a wheel properly is?

I mainly use DelaSarthe as I find the long straights, sweeping bends & forgiving corners seem to be a good practicing ground to get the basics although I do struggle when I try to drive a track like the Nurburgring as I cant seem to keep on track and generally controll the car.

My favourite car to use with the wheel so far is the Mines R34 GTR, just seems like perfect harmony everytime I take it for a spin but I sorta feel like cheating due to the 4wd layout.

Driving group C cars & LMP's ive found you need to have awesome throttle controll because most of them just boost all over the place, Would be good if there was a multi stage boost controller function available sorta like what they use in drag racing to allow 3/4-Full throttle in low gears without the fear of spinning out so easily.

Also have been having trouble using the shifter as there seems to be a delay in depressing the clutch pedal and actualy engaging the gear, I.e. once the clutch pedal is depressed its takes a second or two before you can move the shifter and actually get it into gear without missing or anything, Have been using paddle shift mostly.

Probably the TGTT with a RUF RGT with sports tires.
Make sure it's stock.
The track is smooth, so the FFB is relatively easy to handle, when you've mastered that, go to the ring.
After that, take a Yellowbird out onto the ring. :D

Start out small, try Trial Mountain with something under 300hp on comfort softs. GNX is pretty good as it's heavy and power oversteers. You'll learn to be smooth in something like this, then you can pick something else lightweight with less power. Keep the FFB at 5 until you get used to it.

Just do the AMG tests on the Nur, you'll learn to understand that wheel really quickly, once you have gotten silver on the first two, you should be plenty good with the wheel.

Stock NSX type R '02 trial mountain. It teaches you how to be smooth with steering and throttle, training with this car helped me a lot controlling other crazy cars like RUF RGT, yellowbird, and 458 italia.

If you want to try drifting then Tsukuba and a race modded and tuned Cappachino is perfect to learn with.

Definitely Trial Mountain, because it has a little of everything. Wouldn't learn on Nurburgring. That's an extremely technical course even for the best of us. You'd become frustrated really quick. Deep Forest is a close second.

Best car: Something like the Tommy Kaira on Sport hard tires.

Turn off the skid recovery, it makes it easier to catch the car when it wants to spin.
