The only band in that list close to hardcore is Lamb of God, and they are metalcore.Wait, what kind of "hardcore" music are we talking about? Metal? Dance? Emo?
...If we're talking about metal (like I think we are)...
- Lamb of God
- Mastodon
- Pantera
- Cannibal Corpse
- Dethklok (hell yeah!)
Nowhere.Black Sabbath is the original, where do they fit in?

Nowhere.
Also possibly the best all around hardcore band would be Pantera
You mean, "Pantera is metal..."?
Actually, the "hardcore" everyone confuses as metal is a sub-genre of punk; it's actually short for Hardcore Punk. Metalcore is the metallized version of hardcore (who would've guessed huh?). There's not much difference between the two and its hard to tell between them sometimes. You mean, "Pantera is metal..."?
There is a subset of Metal defined with the prefix "hardcore," however I think the term can be applied more as a blanket definition of things that are deeper, darker, a bit more "hardcore" (ha ha) compared to regular metal bands. It gets confusing I guess, and to be honest I don't care.

By hardcore, I'm pretty sure he means the newer punk/nu metal/emo fusion bands, like Armor For Sheep, Augustana, Atreyu, Rise Against, Senses Fail, The Used, etc...
