Discuss which cars you think are the best value for money, overpriced or underpriced. Indicate whether they are stock of tuned (is tuned if anything has been changed). , but don't start with: car x is the best because...

For me, the HPA Motorsports Stage 2 would be a good underpriced candidate. ~30,000cr. for over 500 BHP stock... Not bad!

Subaru WRX STI are good early in the game but i cant say my fav car at the moment is my Dodge Viper SRT10 but thats not under 30k

hmm... an 80s FR... the FC, S13, and 300Z are tremendous values... initially inexpensive and highly tuneable to impressive HP specs... hard to go wrong... 👍

Underpriced. I would say a ZZT231 Celica SS-II. I bought one used for 10K or so. Despite it being a FF car, once you turn off the ASM, TCS crap, itwould swing the tail out a lot more. 170HP stock may not be much but it smokes a lot of other FF cars with its FR-like "drifts."

Another underpriced car would be one of the Amuse S2000s. I forgot which one, but it handles like it's on rails.

Overpriced. I would say the Vanquish or the SLR McLaren. Too front heavy and too heavy in general to do much, compared to similar priced cars.

yea vanquish and slr are to heavy for the price.... good value for money i think would be one of the amuse s2000 as peacekeeper said, and the new camero, over 350hp for 30k

i think the '97 Camaro Z28 is a good value. when loaded it can beat GT and GTS racecars. its kinda equal to a stock Camaro LM with just a little grip.

Agreed, SLR and Vanquish are very slowish. S2000 is brilliant.

The Speed 12 is underpriced if you ask me. 850hp stock, more than you'll ever need, at just 250,000CR. Compare that to Ford GT, Saleen S7, Paganis, and all of the other supercars. The SLR is definitely overpriced.

Now, the best example of overpriced: The Skyline Sport Coupe (90hp) available in the classic Nissan dealer...300,000+CR. Why?

Does not have to be under 30 000 cr., any price will suffice!

I would definately agree that the SLR is overpriced:nervous: (Hope there aren't any SLR fans waitning at my door...)
Haven't driven to Vanquish. Regarding the TVR, it is a kit car (minimal accesories), so that would definately drop the price.

Ebiggs, that's one expensive retail car! but how does it drive?

Also, the used cars are probably harder to assess, but by all means go for 'em!

BEST VALUE = MG TF 160

Cheap to buy. Put on some r-compounds and give it a stage 2 tuning and you have a very special car. It's weird because I would never would have even considered buying one if I hadn't wanted to finnish all the make competitions.

1962 Buick Special. 58,000 for one of the best endurance abusers created. Can easily rack up wins and money almost everywhere and will pay for itself 100-fold very quickly. In essence, a wise investment more than a purchase. 👍

Yeah, I'd say the '62 Buick Special is the best bang for the buck: 58,000 Cr. for 615hp? You don't get that often!!

I'd say that the SLR is WAYYYYYYY overpriced; who will pay that much for that crap? It can't even out-accelerate Ford GT, I bet! And those LMP race cars like the 787B and the GT-One are overpriced too...4,500,000 for that is too expensive, even considering its performance....

A few of mine, even though I hate the understeer, the used TVR Griffith 500, for like 25000 or something, is a pretty good deal for a sub-1000kg car with over 400hp. Another would be the Mercedez SL65 AMG or whatever, exact same power as an SLR, and with a little tuning can easily be faster, for about 1/5 of the price.

Also I used to think the speed 12 was a good deal, but really a lot of other cars can beat it, sure it can make 1000+ hp with a S/C, but it can't put the power to the ground, it just spins. (I use no TCS)

Kit car, what are you on about. None of the TVR's in ANY GT game are kit cars.

The SL65 AMG has more torque than the SLR and weighs less. Makes better sound too with the V12 over the V8 of the SLR.

The Speed 12 is the fastest stock road car in the game, round the ring the only cars that can beat it stock are the ZZ-II and the NSX-R LM road car (which isn't a real car).

I think the Speed 12 is only fun to look at.

The Buick Special is an amzing buy, but not a true car.

The best buy to me is the Chaparral 2J.

The Bathurst RX-7 is one of the best deals and best handling cars in the game. $23K used.
One of the best $ earners is the Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car ('00), which you win in the Mercedes one make race:Legend of the Silver Arrow. You can tune it and take it to the Deutsche Touring Car Meisterschaft race in European Events, and B-spec the 5 races in 10 minutes. You get the AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car. Sell the car for $743,749 and get $150.000 for winning the races, and you've got almost $900K. I must have done this 30 times in the beginning to build up my bank, or while I was watching TV. This car earned the most $ of any car, so would have to be the best value, right?

The Ford GT is the best bargain in the game in my opinion. Just under 150,000 Cr. and it will do 220 mph stock (so what if it can't do that in real life? Its even faster than a Zonda!) and has great handling (although its rear end feels somewhat heavy). I love how it sounds with a racing muffler! The Honda NSX is perhaps the worst value for money. But I like it anyway.

I'd say the Dodge Viper GTS R Team ORECA Race Car is quite resonable for the money, it cost $1,000,000 but all tuned up it can go just as fast if not faster than some of those $4,500,000 cars.

Whoa! Take it easy, i'm not a TVR nut like you... I picked this bit of info eavesdropping on a conversation, so it's not going to be too accurate!

I'd agree that the SL65 AMG is probably, after abit of tuning, better than the SLR:tup:

Ogle B, the CLK Touring Car isn't the only touring car who can comfortably win the DTM, others include the Audi A4 & both Opel Calibra touring cars. But still, i have also used the CLK to rack up over 50 million credits so i could buy those high priced beauties.

East, the Team ORECA is a great car, and yes in some cases, better than the 4.5 mil racers.

Mr Boy, the Ford GT is very good value, although with some noticeable, but minor hindrances. However with some well spent money, this car is a beast!

I reckon one of the best is the Griffith 500. Pretty decent handling, good looks, and it can just out-run a DB9 around Deep Forest. :sly:

The Dodge Ram 1500, because if you even hop it up all the way you stilll can get 200 A-Spec points on some races.

Don't worry about it, I'm not going to eat you. I've already had my dinner;).

TVR started off as a kit car manufacturer when they first started out, but they've been a full on proper manufacturer for the last 3+ decades.

Agreed. The CLK is what I used, and it won a few of the endurance races as well. Based on what it cost vs. what I made from it, have to say (for me) the CLK had the best return.

The Series 1 is another great car that won allot of races for me (super car, etc) and with it you can win the Shelby 350 Mustang in the Shelby one make race. With that, you can win all the events in the American series. It might be old school, but I love beating the new Vipers, Vettes etc with a 40 year old car!

You get a full warranty for any TVR bought new, the company that supplies the warranties is Henley Heritage. You get this with any new TVR and have been able to for a few years.

I recently purchased the lexus gs300 vertex edition and its quite good for a 4 door sedan. 750hp, good handling on the ring (my test track) and not too expensive.
