Best way to switch profiles?

My son and I are both playing GT5 and loving it.

The only way I see to switch between our games is to press the "PS" button on the controller, move to "Users" and switch there.

But that forces you to quit the game and then go through the load process all over again every time we switch.

Is there a quit and easy way to swith active profiles within the game itself?

Welcome aboard, striderx!

Unfortunately no; since the whole point is switching over the entire PSN profile when going between you two, even if you're just playing GT5, you have to keep doing what you're doing. I'm not sure if any game could actually do what you're suggesting (though now I'm wondering... why not?).
