Thanks Tidgney, I'm back at it again, still whittling down my times but I'm getting there.

And yeah toonari, I'm using manual transmission. I've got my set up in the youtube description.

I just got a 1:05.605 on my first lap. I was so damned determined but I messed up on the second lap AGAIN. AHHHH ;_; I just want to be done!

You're goin down Vettel Challenge!

Nice your getting really low in the 5's which means you can do it, just remain calm!! :D. For some reason on the 2nd lap when i started thinking about something else that worked quite alot.

Oh my, I just downloaded the 1.06 update and now there's an extra option in the Driving options to adjust controller steering sensitivity. I'm tempted to mess with it but at the same time I'm so used to how it's always been that I may have to relearn how to drive with it

Just put it to 7 and I think you'll get gold from Suzuka today:D

Ye thats huge that option can't believe thats been added now i have a dilemma for GT Academy, pad or wheel pad or wheel.

Upto you instrumental on the option but i do hope you get gold today!!

Hang on woah woah woah woah woah:

The lap times for the [X Challenge] in [Special Events] have been adjusted.

Anyone can tell me what thats done as i won't have a playstation 3 for 6 days.

They increased the bronze lap time for the challenge. For example: I'm doing Monza now. It was 2:10, but now it's 2:19. I'm 2 lazy to look up the other times, sorry. :S

Also, the controller sensitivity setting definitely helps. I have it set on 3 for Monza and it feels as if I'm almost driving a completely different car!

WOAH, that is a MASSIVE change to the bronze time 💡
Yes it means I'll be able to win one, but it just won't feel the same... I was going to attempt it again when I read about controller sensitivity change, but I think now I should go for silvers or the challenge is COMPLETELY lost...

Gold times haven't changed. There is no point in doing anything except to go for Golds. Silver is only 2nd best, and nobody remembers them.

I would aim for Gold, but its just unrealistic for me to think I can do it... I couldn't get Bronze before, so going for silver seems implausible enough, but if this controller update works as I hope then I might be closer... And gaining the bronzes will mean I have my own X2010 to practice with as well

If you can get silver, I think you have a good chance to get gold. Silver itself is very hard, but once you get there you surely have what it takes to make another step...

I want to see how people see this after 1.06 update. Apparently sensitivity control makes Suzuka easier to turn at S curves, to turn well is another matter though

Once i have got back from my birthday might have a pop on the pad again (As i've been practicing on the wheel in readyness for GT Academy) see the difference.

I think that is the best update they could have done for the vettel challenge, glad they kept gold, solid and allowed a little more leway for those that are struggling a bit with the challenge. Well played PD on that front.

I disagree, adding a couple of seconds at Suzuka and maybe NurburgringGP would make a difference to a lot of good DS3 players, without devaluing the challenge. Kudos to you, but it would just be wrong if you were the only person to gold all with a DS3. Having said that...

Yeah, me too. I am going to revisit Vettel again but I want to play the new seasonals first.

Thanks for your faith in me! I did just that and got used to the new handling shortly after that post and went to sleep. Booted up the game this morning and got Gold with a 2.09.938. I'm soooooo happy to be done with that. Major props to Tidgney for doing it on the gimped handling controls. With the level 7 steering that challenge is almost on easy mode. I was cranking out low 2:10 times like nothing. WOOOO!

Edit: I also got the Gold Standard trophy even though I hadn't done the A-spec 24h events. Works for me =)

This looks encouraging, well done.

Congratz instrumental very well done!!!!! :D!!!!!!

Due to the new steering sensitivity adjustment (Thanks PD:D), I've managed to Gold Monza. Still got 0.6 off Nurby and 1.1 off Suzy, can't wait for my Carbon X1:D

Finally entered this mission.

Monza I managed to gold in 1 hour... was quite easy. They let you off with minor mistakes, got 2:03:860 luckily.

Tried Nurburgring and Suzuka... only did hard for bronze because I wanted to see the car in my garage.

Well, I am about 7 seconds off Gold in both tracks :D Once I gold it all, I swear I am going to give away all my cars including the X2010 Prototype!!!

Last line is a big assumption... I am not sure if practice does improve your times...

Nurburgring 2:10:2xx now after 40 mins of trying in total. Now seeing my personal limits... and yet there are more than 2 seconds to be trimmed!
