Bet if we all stopped playing GT 7 they would hurry and fix it

Good idea. Cause its bound to happen. I hate this cause we have all waited on this game. 2 yrs past due date. And still not right. Sony wont help cant contact PD. GT website is no luck. Emails dont get answered. We all just stuck with a broken product. Cant get refunded cause its downloaded. Im thinking about breaking my Xbox 1 out and start playing that. Put my Ps in the closet and forget about it. Def will not buy and more GT from here out.

The game has bugs and PDs is going to fix them sooner than later, but they won't push out a fix within 10 minutes of you complaining 15 times here, in their mail or social media.
I know it's annoying, but these boycott threats don't yet you anywhere either.

My assumption in general is, that PD wanted to delay the game again but Sony didn't allow it. I suspect 1-4 weeks more time to get stuff together woul've had helped a lot. But for now, we all just gotta wait for a fix.
 
Once the save corruption and tire bugs are fixed, I'll probably go back and finish a few things, drive a few cheap cars, but there's just not enough to keep me coming back beyond that. So again, I will soon stop playing. I'll have completely finished the current game, and be waiting for PD to make a game I can't finish so quickly.
 
Based on how much the UCD and Legend lots have had the cycling of cars slow down over the last few days I think that's already started to happen. (That is assuming cars actually cycle out based on the number of people that have purchased them; not sure if anyone knows exactly how that works)

I know I've only driven maybe 80 miles in the last 4 days compared to 400+ on day 1, lol. Don't have anything to do that is engaging enough to keep me from playing Elden Ring.

Yeah that sounds upsetting. Sorry for your issues. This is one game that should not have not been released. Seems like it was more for the money from people than the integ of the game. Or quality of game play. Theirs noooo way PD didnt know about all these issues.

Its not the driving. Its the frozen credits at 0. Cant buy cant oil change or anything. People cant progress in the game. How bout reading the forums b4 u assume people dont like the driving. Wait u will have this issue soon and see if u like it

10 mins lmao. 5 days bud. Wait till u have these issues see if u dont complain. Alot of real money and time just to be stuck with a game that doesnt operate correctly.

I played for more than 45 hours and didn’t encounter any bugs at all! Stop whining and let people that are enjoying the game, enjoy the game!

They literally cannot enjoy the game! The game is entirely broken for them! Their save file is corrupted through no fault of their own! How is every criticism of this game deflected with "Stop whining and enjoy it" even when the game has made that literally impossible!

Yeah I already stopped. After two days I had everything done. Don't know what to do. Online lobbies are trash, because hosts leaving the game. Sport mode is unbearable when you've done the same race 10 times. Credit grinding is unbearable with these payouts. Racing and drifting against AI for fun isn't that funny anymore with all the smoke and dirt effects patched out.

As high as my hype was on release day as high is my disappointment now as well. Can't help it.
 
It really does make me laugh how some people's expectations have become so high. PD was never going to satisfy everyone. If they had added endurance races, people would have said they're too long. If they didn't add endurance races, why no endurance races??? That's why you can create your own custom races. I love it personally.
Then people complain about grinding and moaning about the fact that not all cars are obtainable within 10 days of the game being released. It's then a case of "Sorry bruh, this is totally effed up, I'm a gonna return my PS5" 😂

I think it's great that you unlock cars and tracks as you progress rather than having millions of credits and cars thrown at you from day one. You appreciate the content more, at least, that's what I find. I have been playing the game for a few hours and haven't encountered any bugs so far.
Every game has bugs of some description which get patched in due course.
 
I am tentatively thinking about boycotting as well. My save file still works but I've always been against online only saving no matter the circumstances, so I am willing to help the effort. Though I also like making and watching content from the game, which there won't be any if no one is playing.
I boycotted two different iterations of the GT Sport penalty system and many others did the same for various iterations as well, but I don't recall any mention of boycotting until at least nine months after the game came out. Boycotting the game this early could pretty much be a death sentence for it because it will make people skeptical of ever buying the game (some people won't do research to see if/when the issues get fixed). Look at Driveclub for example, almost right when the game came out, people boycotted over how badly the online worked and the borderline false advertising of some features. Over time the developers fixed most of the features and went above and beyond with some things such as free tracks, but the damage was already done. A few years after releasing the development studio that had been around for nearly 20 years closed mainly due to the underwhelming reception of Driveclub.
While I don't think Polyphony Digital would close if GT7 fails, I and many others weren't expecting a long running Sony associated developer to close after one game with a poor release where most issues were fixed to close either. At this point I don't really know what to do.
 
I dunno if anyone even looks at the playercounts. I'm sure Sony only cares about sales figures, so instead we should all return our copies? LOL
 
If you just don't want to play it, for whatever reason, you should just leave it alone, but this whining over and over again really gets on your nerves.
It is unfortunate that there are players with a damaged file and these players should contact support for this, but everything else is just baseless whining in my opinion so that you can make yourself important.

I haven't done everything in the game that can be done by a long shot and I'll say it again whoever says that he has really done EVERYTHING after 2-3-4 days is lying in my eyes and people like that disgust me!

Contacting Sony support has proven to be useless from everyone that has tried.

And it's ok to complain about a game, even if it isn't literally unplayable for you.
 
Ah yes, and you know EVERYONE who has tried it personally, so you know that EVERYONE who has had this problem has literally been left out in the proverbial rain.
Maybe it will take a while before it works again, or maybe the users themselves are to blame for their problem. Who knows exactly. But if the majority of players had exactly this problem, then there would be much larger issues and complaints.

But here, as in many other places, it's always the same people who complain about how bad everything is and that the game has to be boycotted.

Yes my goodness then do that.. delete it and just be happy that you don't "have to" play it anymore, there are enough others who want to play it and have fun. And by the way, I would like to see a current game that ran absolutely problem-free when it was released and didn't have to be improved in any areas! ( there is not any !!! )

Did you try starting a new game? If the save file is corrupted there’s probably nothing PD can do to resolve that, other than preventing it from happening again.
 
Problems like this have a habit of not showing up during dev testing, online products are a strange beast and the average user is more likely to break something that was a complete oversight on pure accident.

Bugs won't get fixed quickly depends on how complex and tricky it is to fix without fudging up other systems.

Boycotting won't change a lot either, because it's going to be fixed and probably as quick as they can it's not just a case of snapping your fingers and away we go.
 
I think the one thing PD wants to avoid now is releasing an update that is bugged. They have to analyse the issues, code fixes and test, test, test before release. It is in their interest to fix this asap, but not if the solution is bugged too.
I am sorry for the people that literally can't play. But they have to get this right this time.

Well I hope there's something PD can do about it, the game forces you onto the same save file. It's entirely tied to your account. You can't start a new one on the same account, ever. The least they can do, if they refuse to fix the save file, is offer a refund. They aren't doing that either.

Okay, but people literally can't play the game; they've been locked out because their save is corrupted and they can't even start a new file to get around it. Congratulations for not running into a severe game-breaking bug, but maybe don't cry that people are bitching about the game when they do.
