Y'see, having spent couple of years with a regular gang on MW2 it is very rewarding if you're in a team. If there's 2/3 of us only on then we struggle, get 6 and we'll rarely lose.

That's something BF3 won't do, talking between squads, which is annoying. Or at least BC2 didn't and I've heard it's same again. There may not be any direct rewards like Spotting Bonus, but there are rewards in the form of winning!

I have no idea what I'll end up buying. I was very underwhelmed by the BF3 beta. Sure it's not bad, but it just feels a bit lacking in finesse of control/shooting. Whereas MW has always been quite direct, which is how it should be. Just felt I was swaying all the time in the beta. No pre-order, just wait and see what people think of the full version.

MW3 doesn't need to do much for me to buy it tbh. I still enjoy MW2, even with the hacking to death it's had since PSN went down. Get rid of teamkillers, better maps, better balance of guns is about it.

I played MW and MW2 religiously for a long time as well... But the thing that got to me is that I feel MW is more of a reaction type game then using strategy... The guy with the fastest reaction time will come out on top. Playing MW I always got really stressed and after a few games I have to take a break because I'm just buzzing from stress and adrenaline not being able to concentrate anymore. Its not a bad game, its just not the gameplay I'm looking for. BF is a little more relaxed in pace and I can take my time and think of how I'm going to attack the enemy. This is also due to the large maps they use compared to MW. The large maps enable you to really flank opponents and surprise the if you sneak around succesfully.

Also the teamwork element is far more evident in the BF series imo. In squads of 4, you really can help each other a lot (giving ammo, repairing vehicles or giving health/reviving) AND you get rewarded for it. In MW even if I was in a squad/team with people/friends I knew quite well, you always had the guy that tried to get the nuke and didn't really help the team out... then its game over once he gets it... There is also no incentive in MW to help each other out like in BF. So in the end I just prefer the BF experience over MW.

Also what did you mean with talking between squads? As in being able to communicate with a squad outside your own? If so, then this is true you cannot communicate with players outside your own squad.

Yup, we would often have 5-6 of us on BC2. So we'd end up in different squads and couldn't talk too each other. Which is daft, even if the other squads aren't your friends, being able to talk to them is important.

Tried playing BF3 beta and i'm having a blast!!!!! The team play is just great!!!! Never had this much of a blast since Modern Warfare!!!

dont know if its just me but MW3 just looks the same as MW2 BUT a new storyline and different looking guns.....and you cant blow up bulidings and fly jets or anything fun like that in MW3.

thats why id rather get BF3 over MW3! and to be honest if it wasnt for the beta i would have probably just went and got Saints Row 3 but now i have to make a though choice! :(

Keep telling myself that i wont get the new COD and get BF3 instead but i know when Mw3 is out at least half of my friends list will be playing it and ill end up geting it anyway.

Both great games in my opinion going from the beta and assuming MW3 plays the same as all other CODs

MW3 all the way

Tried the BF3 Beta and thought it was cack (yes I know its 'just' a beta) , but still its slow, weapons were awful operation metro kinda reminded me of station on WaW and rush lasts to long for my liking (20mins plus per game?)

I like MW's pick up and play attitiude for MP, i might borrow or rent BF3 for SP tho......

Just just clarify all the adverts show the PC build of BF so if you get a consol version be prepared to be dissapointed!

BF3 is the thing i've been looking for, the team play, the mobility, everything is just right for me, CoD on the other hand has been there for like forever and got dull and boring. But still a really good game. I'll eventually get both on PS3,

Ghost recon future solider or MW3 unless you have a PC then get all 3 or get MAG

Yes games take longer in BF3 which I guess is a turn off for some but for me it's one of the best parts. Why do games have to be 10 minutes long?

Also have you seen any current gameplay on ps3? Looks damn fine to me and one heck of a lot better then mw3. It looks fantastic on pc but for consoles BF3 is one of the better looking games you can get.

There should be a option of neither :p

! There is. it's not clicking on either option. :p

Personally I will be buying both. I have all previous 7 installments of the COD franchise so I won't miss MW3. I've spent more time playing previous installments of Battlefield however as it caters to my more strategic style game play. I think as far as shooters go, they both fill an important segment of the market. They may look the same on from a cursory glance however in reality they are vastly different games that speak to two entirely different audiences.

I've already pre-ordered BF3 so I can start playing from launch, MF3 I will pick up maybe around the Christmas holiday period.

I'm getting BF3 for PC (and PS3 down the road) and at some point I'll get MW3 for xbox 360 just because a ton of my friends play on xbox.
