Alright you Bible scholars, I'm gonna post this puzzle up here; took me around 2 and a half hours to solve:
Bible Word Search

This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for youts. He enjoyes it so much he passed it on to his friends. One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so invilving she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves.
There will be some names that are really easy to spot. That's a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we area forced to admit it usually takes a minister or a scholar to see some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new record. The local paper, The Chronicle, surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult thay had ever seen. As Daniel Humana bumbly puts it, "The books are all right there in plain view hidden from sight." Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. Also keep in mind that the punctuation and spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus. There really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in thie paragraph waiting to be found. God Bless...
Please underline the books when you find them with the tags. Enjoy!

I've done this in school before. It did take a while and it's pretty tricky. Kinda fun if your bored though. :)

I got em all fairly quickly. Ive seen this before, but they arent ALL right in front ofyou. Some of em are seperated by spaces and such...and that makes quite a difference to the human eye.

I used to be able to name every single book of the Old, and New, Testament in order. I also won a trophy at a private school I went to for being the fastest person in the entire school to open any Bible, and find any book before anyone else could.

I honestly can't find more than like 10. I'd really like to see an "answered" version of this.

I'm in a school like that right now and I hate it too. :grumpy:

Yep. Luckily I only had to suffer through 3 years of it. Then I was finally allowed to return to public schooling where, in my opinion, I got a much better education

Good luck, and may the force be with you.:p

alright, I'll reduce it to 20 books to find for you lazy people...

AAAHHH!! I've been in the school for my whole damn education! Currently the church is going through some quite hefty lawsuits (church and school are the same) and if they lose, they will have to close everything down and sell it. Hopefully that will happen before I graduate.

:D

Is it part of the puzzle that the spelling is so crap? "Invilving"? "Youts"?

(BTW I'm on 14 so far... :D)

no, that's mostly typos on my part (I was copying it directly from a paper, and have only been typing the "proper" way for a couple months now...)

You were trying to trick us, with your dodgy spelling! :D

I'm on 16 now.

Jpec School of Mathematics:

Lesson 1 - 21/30 = 1/4

:D

I'm missing one - and I THINK it's due to a spelling error... it's on the sixth line up from the bottom in your original post.

Edit: Nuts to it. I've put it in anyway. I'm the greatest. Woo-hoo. Etc.

Nope, the spelling error in that line makes no difference...

BTW, I was talking to the guy before you who had 7/(30-10) which is about 1/4...

Hang on...

If there IS a spelling error there, then it does. If there ISN'T a spelling error there, then there isn't a spelling error there. It can't be an error AND not make a difference unless it's a different word that's mis-spelled...

So is it "Daniel Humana HUMBLY" or not? If it is, then the book "Nahum" turns up, making 30...

oop, yeah it does; I was looking at the wrong error...
Would you be so kind to show us your results?
