If you guys read some books, you'd know that there is already available technology such as that one.
I'm talking about the fly-thing.
US Delta-Force (at least) has fly-like micro robots that are both HD video camera, mic, and transmitters, all with the ability to fly silently. Remote controlled from a considerably large distante and rechargable by just sitting near a heat source (such as a simple light bulb) when not in use.
Meaning they can operate almost non-stop within close quarters (once they get in there) for undetermined time.

I was talking about controlling real live flys, not some little machine things.

I agree with ND4SPD, I want to ride it too. They could set up a ride the Big Dog thing where you pay to ride it.

I think that's a small compressor, not a chainsaw motor. Note the pneumatic sound when they had it in the lab.

Anyhow, superb idea. It's ability to regain balance certainly is a feat.

As for the six-'wheeled' thing... Very cool. Any terrain, even aquatic capabilities. I wonder if it's quiet.

I was only able to watch the clip till they got it inside and had it sorta prancing about. My jaw literally dropped as I said holy **** when I saw them try and push it over. It was a little freak how human, or animal like it was when it was trying to get its balance back. I wonder what happens if is knocked all the way over, is it able to get back up on its own?
