So yeah, seems like online races can "desynch" in GT5, much like online multiplayer matches may desynch in emulators that feature online play through netplay middlewares such as Kaillera;
me and my buddies just had a 30 minutes long race in Deep Forest and each of us would only see 4-5 opponents on track when in fact there should've been 8 of us.
We didn't even realize what was going on til we got back into the lobby, chatted about the race and watched the replays (which showed huge discrepancies between one another as well).
what's funny is that we're talking about it on the forums right now and we're still trying to figure out who ended up winning since only one of us (most likely the host) was able to see all of the cars during the race and there's no way to tell what was going on.
Odds are that this is the reason why online races don't give credits yet (on my screen I finished 1st, had the fastest lap and got both the "last lap" and "victory" chat messages even though it looks like I finished 2nd and some participants didn't even see me racing at all) and I suppose that the YouTube replay uploader was scrapped because it would've exposed the issue right away.
all in all, gg PD...don't get me wrong, the driving feeling this game is able to provide is nothing short of superb, this glitch however is going to ruin our online Super GT league and any other online competition for that matter.
EDIT: Feel free to move the thread to the online section if you see fit.
