Does anybody know if there is a limit to haw many laps you can do in Free Run? I need to know, because I'm planning on doing 500 Laps at Super Speedway in my F688. Don't call me crazy, but I just want to see if I can perform this. Has anybody else?

Please reply! I'm so fu***** serious...

I really think you need to spend a bit more time in the spot race forum.

How about 100 laps at complex string? 225 laps at Special stage 11?

Physically, there is a limit to the amount of laps you can do. Realistically, you'll never get there. You'll hit the mileage limit first.

Paging famine for the maximum number

Good lcuk on 500 laps at 25 seconds per lap, that's approximately the same time it'd take for the Tokyo Enduro.

Tokyo is more fun.

No idea. There is no limit that I'm aware of, other than the constraints of maximum mileage (at 2.147 billion "units" - km or miles, depending on the version).

When you get done with this... could you save us the trouble of the 500 and let us know what happens when you get out that far... Inquiring minds want to know.

You can be like Christopher Columbus... If we don't hear back from you, we will just assume you fell off and remember to not go out that far ourselves next time.

He wrote 'Super Speedway', not 'Test Course'... so perhaps he's only half crazy. Anyway, with an average lap time of 30 seconds it means a 4 hours race (My best lap is around 26.2 but I doubt this can be done 500 times in a row).
I suspect the maximum number of laps is 2 billion (2^31 - 1 to be accurate) but nobody will ever reach this : it represents 2,042 years.
(So if Jesus Christ had started the race when he was young, the race wouldn't be finished yet. :D :D :D
Run, Mach 10, run. You'll tell us if you did it.

This is just a thought, but what about 600 laps? Lol  Well, I'm still thinking about it. It might not take too long, Der Alta said it'll prolly take the time Toykyo Rnduro takes, so I'll try it today, or prolly Thursday, cause I get out of school on Thrusday.

You can bet your ass I will do it!  I don't quit things so easy, so I'll post up if I get it done. Okay, so I am crazy, but only half crazy! :p

I know how it feels man. Once somebody asked whether we would prefer running 100 laps on Super Speedway in a F1 or 10 laps on Test Course in a Vitz (or something like that). I ran both races to make sure.

That's what I'd do. Makes since to me!

This is quite nuts, but the tokyo enduro is 100 laps is it not? I doubt that will take four hours in a P001 or F094/s or woteva the US one is. If it does I'm going to be bored stiff by the end of that one. I am easily bored. I got bored with the MX5 enduro and will do again with some races in GT4 i suppose.

No enduro exceeds 2 hours or 2 1/2 hours.
Mach 10 proposed to race 500 laps on Super Speedway, and that would require 4 hours.

Tokyo R246 Enduro is 2 hours 46 minutes, and you can still win.

That's the exception though. Most others do indeed take about 2 hours.

My calculations were based off a simple 25 seconds (F094) per lap, 500 laps = 208+ minutes. As I realize now, I'm off by and hour. Appropriately so, 3:48'

der alta. honored to meet you, but where do you get the time to do these exact calculations?

its funny, im not the biggest fan of the enduro's, if only done 2 of them, yet ill gladly do 100-150 laps of whatever course is being run in the weekly race! there must be something wrong with me lol

dude, will u run the 500 at speedway in 1 single sitting?? if so, i applaud you haha. normaly i have to pause for like 10 minutes 2 or 3 times in the enduros

Nice to meet you too.

Haven't you perused the compendium?
In particular The Super Speedway?

Just punch that number into Excel, with a few others and Voila! 15 seconds later, you've got the number.

In preperation for the Mini 500 I'm currently doing the Super Speedway enduro in a out of the box Mini, I'm on lap 48 48 minutes into it, you can guess my average lap time:rolleyes:

I'm currently running the Tokyo R246 enduro, and I'm on for a projected winning time of 2 hours, 45 minutes.

Bollocks #999 is the king of super enduros. He's done 100 laps at Complex String, pretty much in one sitting. I think also 250 laps of R246. If you search for his posts, he has info in his sig.

ALL OF YOU ARE NUTS! I've only done two of the enduros. they are agonizing. I also have to pause it to take brakes. However, the offer to do a 24hr race at Cote for some reason is enticing to me. I wonder if my motorsport Elise would hold up.....

The three Super Enduros done so far were the 4 hours of Apricot Hill, 4 hours of Laguna Seca and 100 laps of Complex String (which I'm still leading the way in... :D Just under 7 hours). There's a 225 laps of SSR5 going too.

I'm in the middle of doing an endurance for the Numbers, which is pretty intriguing, and doing all 62 drive/enduro combinations at Racing-Line too... :D
