I read the Compendium Der Alta, and I applaud you for the effort and easy to read guide! ;) But I never did see the whole thing. (that was when GoKents had Jordan manually activate my account due to technical problems.) I could never thank you guys enough! :D
 
Okay everybody, I think I shall perform my deaf defying feat today, 4 hours, and The Time Now Is about 3:30, so 4 hours on to that.......7:30.... Okay!! It shall be done! I'll post my results as soon as possible!!!!!

I did 72 laps of SS in a stock Mini Cooper, no upgrades of any sort, and I'm still ticked they didn't let me finish the last 28 laps:irked: I'm gonna go do 200 in an F1 car now, just to see how it compares, then I'll do 500 in probably a slightly modded stock car, sorta like, dare I say it? Nascar................*runs*
 
Ok its now 8:30 here and probably 7:30 where march is. So who wants to bet he died. I got 20 bux that he **** the bed on lap 349. Random Guess.
 
I bet he's twitching in a closet somewhere, got a big fat 50 riddin' on it, 120 laps sent me into cardiac arrest, I don't wanna see what 500 can do:sick:

What car did you do it in? I did 72 laps in a completely stock Mini Cooper, now I'm gonna try for as many laps as I can, hope my PS2 doesn't explode:sick:

Good luck with the Mini, I love those littlecars! How many laps?? 72? I'll try that!!!!!!:lol:

Now I'm wondering whether 1000 laps is possible. We know that 3 digits is possible with the lap counters, but how about 4? I suppose you could just rubberband-trick your way to that answer, but that would still take about 7-8 hours.

Maybe someone without a job/life/real hands could do it?

I quit as soon as I calculated my finish time, 17.66666666667 hours is just too long, I brought the little thing in on lap three and vowed never to return to that track. And as far as my Mini at Test Track, I'm watching the intro movie to the game right now.

I read an article about a 72 hours race on complex string.two guys drove 920 rounds in a vertigo.Talking about grazy,these two are really super grazy.Their fastest lap was 4"04.473.The limit in free run is atleast 999 laps.
 
No idea. There is no limit that I'm aware of, other than the constraints of maximum mileage (at 2.147 billion "units" - km or miles, depending on the version).

What's this? I've never heArd of maximum mileage, what happens? How do you know that's the maximum milleage?
 
The whole thing as been widely covered in the '2billion...' thread.
There is a limitation due to storage capacity of variables in the programs. Each value (days, mileage, credits...) is limited to 2^31-1 (which is around 2,147 billions), because adding 1 to this value causes the game to crash (value out of range).
That's pretty easy (but takes time) to check with an X-port.
