Biggest Annoyance?

What's your biggest annoyance with GT5 or people you are playing in GT5 in general.

To me it's the people who are so arrogant with themselves. They try to act like they are better than anyone else, or they think they know everything about the game. For example. This "friend" was bragging about how he got the R390 Road Car and how it's the rarest car in the game. He was saying the only way to get it is if you have two level 12 tickets. So I brought out mine I had gotten at the UCD. Then he tries telling me about the Super rare "0 switches 0 miles Redbull X2010" telling me it's a completely different car and it's faster. He obviously didn't know what 0/0 means. I had two because it was the time when PD released the S. Vettel to everyone and I had another from level 35 bspec which I never used. It's these people who annoy me more than anything. Atleast try to show a little modesty for winning a race. Don't go around saying you know everything about everything, or saying how you're the best racer/GT5-er out there. Because there's always someone better.

So what things annoy you most in GT5 or the people of GT5

Then navigate the horrible menu system back to where I was before. Why can't it be part of the tuning screen or the popup menu when selecting cars. ANNOYING.

I've always though this too. I'd often be online and I want to bring out a new UCD car I just bought to test it out and I see it needs an oil change. It's not the first thing that comes to mind when I buy a UCD car. I agree, wish it was part of the tuning area. Or gives us an in race menu option.

It's not the first thing that comes to mind when I buy a UCD car.

I was the same but now I go straight to GT Auto for the oil change when I make a UCD purchase. I swear less as a result.

Mine has to be the lousy line ups! You go to arcade mode, grab any race car, and when you race there is all sorts of race cars and no order at all! All I want is a dtm at nurburgring GP driving a fully stock dtm car, how hard could it be to give me equal opponents instead they give me classic lmp and superGT to race against. They need to allow you some control of opponents, like in the lounge were you can restrict car classes. This annoys me to no end. No real racing when you're offline.

So basically you're annoyed by people talking out of their arse?
Who isn't? And apart from that being a common occurence in general unfortunately, the fact some of those also play GT5 and extend that drivel to the subject of GT5 doesn't make it relevant to the subject of GT5.

That annoys me in GT5 and people are talking about what annoys them in GT5 in general. I know it carries out from GT5 too but I was referring it to GT5 in the most.

Mine rarely crashes? Occasionally it freezes while I'm searching for a lobby but this is rare.

Mine has never crashed in the past year, it always runs smooth, my console doesn't like Codemasters games judging by when it crashes.

1 year on and still no post special events where I can utilize my rally cars to grind cr/xp. Shame on u PD/GT5 (seeing as they treat u like a person)
They only incl rally to tick a box and make more sales.

The thing that annoys me the most is the lack of Rally in GT5

If they would improve the rally physics so cars were less twitchy and slidey, then maybe more people would try it, but as it is currently, I would rather crush my fingers in the grill at work than try and drive a single clean lap of a rally track in GT5

Just online mode in general. Being rammed, being kicked, being sass-talked and discriminated against, rooms changing hosts/ hosts changing their minds and doing the opposite of what I joined for (races in 'free run', or hypercar racing in 'low pp only' etc.), rarely enough people in any lobby despite the thousands of people playing, only tyres anyone EVER uses are racing softs - which ruin the physics and turn a great sim into messy, arcadey chaos.

The fact PD screwed up the NASCAR games from EA. I liked the direction they were going. NASCAR '08, '09, (can't wait for the next one its going to be so awsome...) Wait where did Nascar '10 go? Oh PD decided to include 2 whole NASCAR tracks and 9 cars in their new game, with less setup options than the old games. Now Codemasters owns it and completely screwed it up.

My brother, hogging bandwidth of the crappy 1Megabit line. (Is 1Megabit considered fast? Because it sure feels pretty darn slow to me.)
Every time I sign in, with my brother around using the internet, it lags and GT5 is super slow in the loading screens. My God!!!
Sometimes, the only was to solve this forever loading is just to sign out.

Not truly to do with GT5, then again mine wasn't extremely restricted to GT5 either. I'm not a computer whiz, but try setting up a E-Net cable to see if it works better?

Yeah, sorry I just can't resist sharing. Really kills the online experience. I'm afraid there isn't any E-Net cable long enough for me.

Well depending where it's at there are many Cat-5Es that are very long. I bought one on eBay pretty cheap. I'll post a link if I can find one for you.

EDIT: Here's a few from eBay.

100FT Pretty cheap but it works I own a few.

200FT Still really cheap

There are more, but they get expensive after 200. But if you need it REALLY long, 50 dollars will get you this 1000FT

Fallout 3? Anyway mine is people who think there amazing because of the x10\11 (i know my avatar but it looks good like that) and to top it all off, they ram you and drive off thinking 'they cant get me' then i just make a road block at the startline or get my x11 out:tup:

Rammers annoy me too. I hate if you're in like one of those "Show" rooms and someone is driving around (say Daytona) and they decide it'd be funny to ram you while you're braked. Happened to me the other day when some guy rammed me in his new Academy Special GTR talking about "How rare and cool it is" so he keeps ramming me with it. I promptly bought out my X2011 to ram him. He left only 2 minutes later!

For me, it would have to be the lack of actual racing knowledge and lack of respect in the online rooms. I just hate searching for a room that might suit my particular desire for that day, finally finding a room and then to get in, just to be surrounded by idiots that have no clue about things like:

It might be a bad idea going through first 10 turns of the Nordschlife 3 wide

It might be a bad idea when racing at Spa to cut under cars going into La Source, Les Combes, Blanchimont and the Bus Stop Chicane

It might be a bad idea to block cars that are way faster or to PIT cars that are trying to pass

I'm sure there's more that bugs me about this game but those are the main ones. Even though this game frustrates me a lot some days, it's a damn good game!
