Well, it's technically the largest subwoofer in the world. It's a horn style bass chamber powered by 16 18 inch woofers. The single bass chamber makes them work together as a single unit.

just to give you an idea to the size of the woofer, it's built into the floor of the largest personal listening room in the world. The room itself is 8.4 x 6.95 meters and contains over 20 speakers providing a full 5.1 surround. If you consider that the room was built to have near perfect acoustics, it makes you wonder how insane/obsessed a person would have to be in order to even consider something like this. The scary thing is, the compression chamber is covered in marble...if you turn the woofers up to their max, the marble would probably crack under the pressure being built up in there :P.

With this subwoofer and a Barry White CD, I could destroy the world.

Don't aim it at the ground. You'll wind up with a whole house full of snakes.

You watch way to much Simpsons.

What the hell is the point to this? I get enough bass from my XBR HDTV set. If I need more, the 8 inch 80 watt powered subwoofer is just fine. I often have to turn down the subwoofer level when watching certain movies, or TV commercials. And I love my music/movies loud!

remember Italian Job? "I want a set of speakers so loud they'll blow the clothes off a woman". This'll do the job quite nicely :D
