I know this is a game that is for car enthusiasts. At the same time, I would love to see bikes in this game. I am not saying make it anything like Midnight Club, but put a few bikes and make a separate category of races that are specific to bikes.
Another note, I would love to see the Initial D tracks on this game, that would be interesting.
 
Unfortunately for bikes to work the whole game engine would have to be redesigned because they use different physics for things such as steering and balance.
Some Touge style tracks would be nice though, I like getting real life tracks as DLC but I would be equally happy with some made up fantasy courses.
 
Physics arent different. Physics is a universal thing. They wouldnt have to tweak or design anything. It all works the same. F=MA across the board.
 
Have you seen a bike go round a corner? Does it kind of differently to a car....
Yes the basic physics would be the same, up is still up, down is still down, but how the vehicles utilise physics to achieve anything but straight line motion is different. This would require a complete redesign of the game engine
 
By that logic, then every single individual car would require a complete redesign of the game engine. By a programming perspective, it would just require a new object be created of type vehicle with private data members being specific to a bike. Not a redesign of an engine.

There is no way to just make some "tweaks".


The physics between the two are radically different, and that's ignoring the incompatibility of bikes and cars racing one another.

It's been discussed in the GT6 bike thread, but you can't properly simulate a bike through a game.
 
Baribari Densetsu would be D's motorcycle street racing counterpart. It was created before Initial D and was also created by Shigeno-san (yes, creator of D).
 
There is no way to make some "tweaks?" Read the newest release notes, they do it all the time. You clearly didn't read my post, because I pretty much dismissed the idea of the two racing at one time.
 
Strictly speaking, the physics within the game's "world" are the same but the vehicle dynamics are very different between cars & bikes. You can't just model a bike, give it code for mass and HP and traction, throw it into GT6 and expect it to work just like that.
