Bizzare but very generous glitch. Anyone else?

Now I know the game has been prone to the odd glitch here and there, usually turning into something negative like cars disappearing out of your garage.

I thought I would have some fun with a Honda Civic in the 620PP Supercar Seasonal Event with all aids and ABS off, it was a lot of fun fighting in the middle of the pack.

What was odd though was that despite already recieving the car gift a long time ago, I was gifted to not one, not two, not three, but six Ford GT40 Race cars. Well, umm... thanks PD 👍

Has anyone else ever experienced something equally odd or similar?
 
I have experienced this on one of my accounts.
Every time I click on a seasonal event I have completed it gifts me two more tickets and if I change tracks in the event it gives me another ticket.
Generous but strange.
 
It was just random luck.

I suppose another glitch I've seen which could be construed as positive in a way, was in a 400PP shuffle race. While the rest of the room were given the standard list of cars for that PP such as old generation Evo's, 3000GT's and RX7's, one person was apparently given a Dodge Viper GTS.

On track however, it was heavily nerfed. I'm guessing the game loaded the wrong skin for whatever car he was really driving, but we all saw the same Viper. I could upload the replay for a quick chuckle at a Viper being out dragged by a stock Mitshibushi Evo II.

For me its random luck.... some players get tickets and cars...one time I got insta-200% increase for 3 weeks... doesn't matter how many days I've been gone. I could leave it for a week, and as soon as I log into PSN and GTLife, I got the bonus... along with that, it gave me 50 museum cards and 50 paintchips.
 
Just remembered another helpful glitch during an online race.

It was at Circuit De La Sarthe, I was in the lead but the game or server decided it would give me the win before I even got to the Porsche Curves, and I didn't have the issue of someone not being displayed on the track. I can't remember which account this was under but sure I have the replay stored in the bank.

Damn... servers/PD LOVE you.... maybe they're a fan?
 
It's probably in recognition of your heroic effort. Try it in a Fiat 500 and they'll give you a dozen cars.

Did you ever "Receive All Presents" ?

This is a known side effect of that. (could be un-related)
 
I received a yellow Toyota seven from an anonymous sender...not sure how that happened!

Getting the win before completing a lap? Sounds like Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. Yes, that game was known as one of the worst games of all time.

Not like you couldn't win that game anyway because the AI was nonexistent...
 
Oddly enough, this is happening to me right now, as I am writing this. 450 Japanese 90's Challenge A-Spec. Never did this event before as I just recently updated to the current version. Won all events, recieved 2 787B tickets, exited the event to the screen to where it shows all the events. Decided to go back in, and what do you know, two more tickets. Did the same process, two more tickets. I'm up to 20 tickets right now.....oh wait, 22. :lol: 24..26..28..I could go all night. :lol:

I've also had the "win before reaching finish line" glitch (think it was at Sarthe as well), so it gives the win to you despite not being first. Happens more often if it's a close finish but it can happen in other occasions which makes it more odd.

Are you actually getting the tickets? I won the ticket the other night and it said I won the ticket. The next day I was racing in other events and won a ticket. I checked and that ticket made it in but I didn't get the 787B. I've seen this before in the past so I went back to the 450pp Japanese challenge and got the ticket pop up again. This time I actually got the 787B ticket. I'll check again tomorrow and see if I can get another real ticket.

Yes, I ended up with 52 tickets before I got bored and decided to stop. What the hell am I going to do with 52 tickets I do not know, but I have them. :lol:

Would this be repeatable if you went back into the 450PP Seasonal again today, or was it a one-time glitch dependent upon something that your game got stuck on when you first saw this?

It seems to be the latter as I went back the next day and got nothing. Guess the GT Gods didn't like my greedyness the first time around. :lol:

I've had this a few times. The last time was in a lobby where about half the people played fair and the other half dirty. By the end of the race I was pushed off track, but when I crossed the line in 3rd I was still displayed as the winner.
From that day I've called it "The Karma Glitch".

Unfortunately this glitch is all too common nowadays. I see it at least once a night when racing online. My first race last night a win and they I ended up in 2nd place. I'm not sure why I would buy GT6 when they haven't fixed the online issues in GT5.
