I hope this can be a list of cars which are a massive waste of money which people should not buy!

I'll start:

What: Gillet Vertigo Race Car '04
Amount Wasted: ~2,000,000cr
Reason: Despite having 900+ BHP and weighing ~700kg, it is slow and handles like a shopping trolley. A bit faster than a touring car.

Bugatti Veyron
2,000,000/Prize
Whats it good for? So what, it goes fast in a straight line. So does the X1

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 (i.e. from the Grand Tour) in my opinion is a toilet of a vehicle. Too big and too much weight over the back wheels.

The Gallardo however is an epic car.

What did you expect? It's Belgian.

I wasted alot of money early on trying to get the "special buick" to win races in b-spec, lesson learnt, just dont.

Wasted tons of money on a yaris/fitz early on (first car I modded), can barely get around a corner now pretty useless.

Avoid the "DSG" honda jazz. It only seems to have one gear and is slooooooooooow as hell!!! Again I bought every part for this early on before I test drove it to find that out :(

Every 20 mio-car is a whole waste of money. As I know, you can win them (minimum one of them) and 20 mio for a classic race car, which performance does not differ from others, is total waste.

I love them, they look awesome, but 20 mio. are too much.

Also all Hybrid-cars or electric cars are total waste of money. What tried PD to show us with these cars in a "racing game"? How slow they are, how ugly they are or how bad they perform?

...same for the furai. whoops :ouch:

If you bought not knowing you could win it is one thing, but it's not a crap car that belongs on the "black list"

Topic is "Black List of Crap Cars"

NOT "List of awesome cars you didn't know you could win"

How is that?

Formula 1 cars need a completely different driving approach and style.

F1 cars also have wheels that are locked at around 200 degrees so you do not have to go arm over arm to get full lock, most race cars are in fact the same way since you do not want a ton of play in the wheel to get a car under control if things go oops.

Problem with the FTG is it has a ton of play in the wheel, even the italia has less play to get full lock on the car, but the FTG you need to really crank the wheel over in tight bends to get the car to turn, then with the DFGT the situation becomes even worse with a car that has that much wheel movement and blows thru gears like crazy. And the FTG series there is no pace down opportunities you have to be pushing the car pretty darn hard most races to get out in front and stay there. Way way too much play in the steering of the car.

Ferrari Enzo.

Just get a Scuderia or 548

Nothing wrong with Enzo at all..

There's been about 500 threads on this already..

Problem lies between the steering wheel and seat.

My Enzo is 700bhp, sports tyres and drives like a dream... 👍

Lotus Elise, at least if the Top Gear Challenge is any indication.

I find that especially odd, because while it could get a bit lively, Prologue's Elise wasn't nearly as bad as GT5's.

I'm still bummed that they gave the AC Cobra such poor handling. I have over 40 road tests of the real life car. There is a reason why it is one of the most successful racing cars in history.

The Suzuki ESCUDO Dirt Trial Car is definitely different. I like having a car in the game that you can turn off the assists and drive Suzuka like it was dirt.

Again, if you attempt to drive the Ginetta G4 like a normal car you will be very disappointed, but if you see it as an adventure in sliding then it can be fun. Especially with 255 hp.

Agreed, the Leno car is useless.

Didn't they put a roof on it to make it handle better in a race situation juice?
