What: Gillet Vertigo Race Car '04 Amount Wasted: ~2,000,000cr Reason: Despite having 900+ BHP and weighing ~700kg, it is slow and handles like a shopping trolley. A bit faster than a touring car.
RUF CTR2: Expensive, and so rear-heavy...at the Schwarzwald A I can't catch up with the slower Audi R8 because I can't keep still on the straights...at the Daytona banked curves I can only pull about 160 mph, about the same as the much slower
Aston V8 Vantage: Even more expensive than the CTR2, understeers, nice V8 sound, but not really that fast in a straight line: I should probably get an oil change...
Ferrari 458 Italia: Not actually that brilliant! Understeers a lot so you can't go quickly round the high speed ring (I went around there at about 95-98 mph before I opened the taps). And despite what all the car magazines have been saying about it, it's not that fast: you'd expect 562 hp to get you somewhere, but it doesn't really. I drove a bone stock one in the MR Cup and got 5th in the High Speed Ring after many tries. Also, this car has way too many gears - I admit that I've used a Ford GT, which has such a huge slug of torque that it only needs 5 (lol, it gets to 6th gear at 200 mph; the 458 is at 7th at 170mph). Interestingly, the GT, despite being less powerful, dusts this off the line.
Wow some so called "Crap-Cars" are very good.
Some Cars need the Right Tuning and they are superb.
CTR2 1:06.6XX at Rome is good for a Car that has no Downforce.
And I think its stable in straight lines.
Vertigo: Was one off my favourites in GT4 so I will purchase it, if it shows in the UCD
Enzo is another example. At first I thought: "Awfull" but after some intense tuning i got hold off the Understeer --> snap Oversteer.
Now I get 1:03-1:02 Times at Rome (McLaren F1 1:01-1:00 Times with muchmore Downforce) and now I like the Enzo.
=> If you think its Crap tune it right. Every car has a certain limit off Times it can produce but you have to get there tuningwise. Or you just tune the car fitting your drivingstyle and don´t give somthing about times
Lies. The first car I drove in the game. Nurburgring Day/Night 60x. A little low on the stock top speed, but it sounds like a plane taking off! Loved it to bits.
For those that said the Gillet is rubbish, it was the best 2mil i have spent, i tuned it and won Like the Wind with it, which in turn won me my favourite car, the Minolta.
One badcar is the GT by Citroen road car. Its utter dross.
Another is the McLaren MP4 and the Ferrari 458. Ferrari just does not compete with my Gallardo or GT-r...
F40 stock is pretty horrible and I threw down for one used pretty early on. Tires and tranny change help, but the car suffers from tuuuurrrrrrbbbbbooooo laaaaaagggggggg. It's a bummer, but for a kick, take yours out without TCS or ABS . . . what a handful!!!
What: Cizeta V16T '94
Amount Wasted: Prize Car... Thank God.
Reason: Despite boasting an impressive 563HP stock, this thing handles horribly and can lose control even if you're just trying to straighten your line on a straightaway..

Seems like all the cars that requires a little bit of skills in order to keep them under control are been considered as crap cars... I really don't understand. The Ruf CTR Yellowbird it's hard to control, The Enzo understeers, the Lp640 it's tailhappy, it's true. But if you spend about 3/4 laps with them on the Nordschleife, maybe you can learn how to compensate these imperfections, that I don't consider as imperfections, but as part of the character of these cars.

I was gonna post something similar. There not crap cars but crap driv.. oops not that, but wheres the "top gear" spirit of " I'm gonna drive this crap car and like it"?
All cars drive differently and need a different aproach to driving them.
I find I really love the so called "crap" cars for their odd little foibles.
Learn to adjust, you might just fall in love with one of these cars.

You bring up a good point here. Some of these cars truely aren't "competitive" in races, but they are loads of fun. I wouldn't use them to race until I feel comfortable in them. So think of it as a seperate catagory of car I guess.
