Generally, they update the performance and security. They may add features or bring certain ones up to date.

The only new feature I've noticed is built-in RSS. Oh, and there's a feature in the download manager that opens the default download folder. On the flip side, I'm pissed my beloved Qute theme doesn't work with 1.0. :grumpy:
