The 1 Series M Coupe was a highly tuned 1 series with many suspension/steering parts shared with the E9x M3, it has wider flared fenders and a wider track (a throwback to the e30 M3 if you will). The M235i is a M-Division tuned 2-series but with no real discernible difference than a 228i M Sport. While the M235i is the slightly faster car, the 1 Series M Coupe is simply a classic that is not easily attainable in real-life due to its limited production run. In my mind I would rather have the 1 Series M Coupe than the M235i, but both is OK too.
