Is that a Touring car ???? wow ... I want that livery in GT6
As Cracker said, DTM isn't "touring cars" anymore and hasn't been for sometime.
Personally I refer to it as a Sportscars/GT series and the current link-ups with SuperGT and Grand-Am only further define it that way for me.
Its kind of lame really because if DTM was more "Touring Cars" and actually had more similar regulations to all the other major TC series, maybe BMW wouldn't have had to leave and then return. The old E36 was a fantastic touring car and it would have been great if Mercedes and Audi had come into WTCC, etc. But no, they decided to go this unique route which has taken them to GT style racing.
At least GT racing has a genuinely popular series I guess, because GT1, LMS, etc have not really found the popularity of WRC, BTCC, F1 or whatever.
Anyway, on topic, is it just me or have the DTM aerodynamics made it look like an Audi A4? Replace the front grill with an Audi grill and it wouldn't look a million times different. I guess the wider, lower bodyshell doesn't help as it makes them all look the same, if it wasn't for Mercedes' more angular styling it probably would look quite similar too.
