BMW GT4 virtal drive demo!!

i want that game so much but dunno if they have them in UK or not yet, cant get hold of my dealer. anyone in the UK got it yet?
 
I hate that thing, as much as i hated the Prologue!
After playing GT4P, I just couldn't force myself to play GT3 nor GTC any more.
Now I can't even force myself into playing GT4P, becouse BMW VD is SO MUCH better.

So if you don't want to sploil your percepction of previous GT releases, DON'T GET BMW Virtual Drive.

I'm gonna pop into the BMW dealer on Summer Row on my way home from work tonight... I'll see what they say... altho I'll be dressed in Bike Riding gear so not sure how serious they'll take me... but it's OK... I'll name drop my address and that should impress them!!! (I live in one of the Canal Side flats behind Broad St.)

I'll let you know how I get on... I strongly suspect that they won't have heard of it!!

I have the BMW demo, eh I didn't get it from a dealership though. One thing I noticed among many is that the tyre noises are a bit better. I managed to get them to chirp a bit when I went of the track and back onto it suddelnly.
 
Got my copy on Saturday, also had a test drive in the 120i and 120d. Its a major step up from the handling model in GT4P and the 'ring is modeled excellently. Well th first 6-7 miles that I can get to in the time limit are.

God its going yo be a bit wierd when GT4 comes out, I'm going to be the man that knows 1/3 of the 'ring like the back of his hand, but forgot to drive the rest.

If anyone knows of AR Max codes to get rid of the timer, please let me know.

BTW the 1-series is a nice little car, 120d the model of choice. It looks a lot better in the metal and not as cramped inside are the press had been saying (its still not big for its class).
 
My local dealer has none left :( - so i've bid for a couple of copies on eBay.....

one went for £21 and the other for £43!!! - i'm gagging to play it, but i'm not paying 43 quid for a single car demo, even if it has three minutes worth of GT4 Nordschleife on it!!!

- especially when given out free!

I'm well aware of that thread and my question on the AR Max codes was in passing and not principally related to burning a new CD to run on a modded PS2.

9mm, I've been a member of this site for some time now and quick conversant with good practice in regard to both new threads and posts on existing threads, you however appear to need to develop basic manners.

I have unfortunatly noticed a rise in the number of posts of this nature, mainly among the newer members and its one of the reasons that my activity around here has dropped off.

If you are going to raise a point with someone at least try and be polite about it, I'm not suprised some of the new members who have been on the end of similar posts have not returned.

I got a couple of copies on the 18th (gave the other to my mate, sorry...!) It does not have a London track, nor is there anything to suggest there will be a London track in the future. It only has the three tracks, Nordschielfe, New York and Costa Di Amalfi...

By the way, they had plenty of copies of the demo at my local dealership (hence why I managed to get a couple), so don't give up... they were also very friendly and understanding (i.e. they knew I wasn't ever going to actually buy a 1 Series), and I just asked them for the demo straight, and they duly obliged... if I can get hold of some more, I will not (on principle) sell them on Ebay for a profit... I'd rather donate them to needy GTPlanet regulars! :-) That said, you can expect to pay £20-25 on Ebay for a copy... I didn't win an auction on Ebay last week, but the seller emailed me to tell me he had another copy that I could buy outright for £20... but still, you should be able to get a free one for a while yet...

is this demo only available through the damn edonkey in the web yet? i hope that someone will post it to any ftp site or faster sharing clients (eg. torrent). that would be very very very nice :) emule will take lightyears..... :indiff:

I'm stupid, but happy. I've just got the Gt4 BMW demo... but i won it on Ebay auction just an hour ago.... for £26 :( :) :( :) Oh well. Call me stupid. Should get it in a few days, which is good. Will probably be some kind of minor collectors item in the future too perhaps which is also good. I'm a little GT addicted it has to be said: GT1, GT2, GT3, GTC, GT4:P and now GT4 BMW demo. w00t ;) Now to get the time limit removed....
 
For those of you who live in LONDON (or who are just plain desperate), this BMW showroom still has quite a few copies just lying out on the counter, so no need to resort to Ebay just yet...

So far, I have acquired four copies from them, but they have all now gone (donated to GTPlanet members of course :D), and I'm unlikely to push my luck at Sytner again for any more, hence this post telling you where you can get your hands on one yourself :))

Anyway, if I can persuade some friends to go in on my behalf and get a couple more, I will post again and they will go on a first come-first served basis...

anyone know where/how the BMW-dealers can get a hold of this demo? was over there just now and they hadn`t heard about it at all. and he couldn`t find anything about it on BMW`s web-pages.

anyone feel like helping? i really want that demo :dopey:
 
No offense, but people here are capable of searching ebay by themselves without the need for folk advertising their own stuff in the forum... although no doubt loads of folk will look to buy/sell on ebay, these discs are not meant for resale. I suggest that if you want to advertise your stuff here, you should be giving them away for free rather than looking for money...
 
or donating them to other GTP members like Touring Mars is doing at the moment (thankyou very much for donating one to me!:)). i think its wrong to advertise on here mate.
 
and i`m NOT paying for it. the guy i talked to at the BMW-shop seemed pretty interested himself. so he wanted me to find out how to get a hold of this demo. cause he had a PS2 and wanted to try it out himself :dopey:
