The race will begin with grid start. However the first lap will be a partial formation lap (explained below), followed by a rolling start. The leading car (first qualified driver) will lead one partial lap, pacing at 100 km/h (62 mph). All other drivers will follow in single file, until the starting straight, at which point drivers will form into a double row formation. No passing is allowed until the leading vehicle crosses the start line.
Partial Formation Lap:
The partial formation lap is the same procedure as CORE VLN races (See below for the video - starting from around 0:33). The starting grid is based on the qualifying result. No passing is allowed until the leading vehicle crosses the start line. The start line is where the overhanging beam at the back straight. There are no pace car, but the leading vehicle will pace at 100kph (62mph). Approaching the start line, the cars should take double file formation. The race begins when the leading vehicle crosses the start line.
