I think the M3 Coupe '07 is definitely one of the best Premium road cars to drive. Although I haven't reduced the weight at all, I have increased the power to 445bhp and added Sports Meduim tyres (currently at 499pp). It's so much fun to drive with the setup I've created.

Yep. The E46 CSL its been my favorite car in GT since GT4...

The CSL is by far my favourite M3 in GT5. The amount of grip that car generates is amazing, plus it's a joy to drive (especially with the addition of the Sports Exhaust). The normal M3 '04 is great too, but I haven't had the chance to drive my M3 GTR yet, so I'm not sure what say about it right now.

I really love the stock exhaust on the E46 CSL but yeah, the sports exhaust is very good too!

About the M3 GTR, imho it is awesome BUT a bit front-heavy. I find myself a lot more comfortable on the CSL... GTR have more power but you'll notice that the perfect balance and grip are different.

I've been so preoccupied with other things in GT5 that I've never had a chance to test the GTR (which I actually bought many months ago). I'll be sure to try it out soon though.

I'd love it.

I just bought an E90 M3 this year IRL after an long search and I absolutely love it. I'm now a huge fan of all M3's

That's impossible, there is no E90 M3, it's E46 then straight to E92. E90 series never saw an M3 version, I owned a E90 330XI really wanted an E46 M3 but they were still pricey and it was hard finding a manual with all these bloody SMG transmission all over the place.

E46 by far is the greatest M3 crafted, I haven't seen an M3 that can mess with it on the road pound for pound, it's just so well crafted and immaculately balanced. Heck every car in GT tuned up to 600PP handles incredibly well and readable on Sport tires. The feedback is awesome and having to deal with increasing impending grip loss is just epic, trying to race while maintaining grip is just seriously grin inducing.

I have one 2004 E46 M3, that I bought new in january 2004, with the SMG transmission and never had any problems and yes it is a blast to drive:tup:

:)This is a great car in the game and in real life as I own one in AW with black leather with the tech package with carbon roof and carbon trim just like in the game.

There is an E90 M3, it's a sedan not a coupe. I'll sum it up for you in simpler terms. E90 = saloon/sedan, E92 = coupe and E93 = convertible.

It isn't as rewarding as the CSL to drive IMO, not to mention it lacks an quintessential ingredient to be as great as the CSL: A M-tuned BMW straight six. The CSL sounds and drives much better.

This car reinforces the reason why I´m an absolute nut for BMW. To be honest, I don´t think tunning this car is really needed.

Mine has a weight reduction #1, Sport Soft tires and the ECU tunning. I love eating R8´s in the Nurburgring.

Try the M3 GTR and CSL as well. They are as magnificent as they were in GT4. I prefer the CSL though. Too bad the regular E46 M3 has an incorrect sound...

If PD somehow upgrades the E46´s to premium, and adds the E30 and E36, I would literally cry of pure joy...

BTW, that GTS replica looks sick!! Might buy one and use it as an excuse to tune it.

Like I said before I make your words as mine. I checked the regular E46 sound and yeah, its odd... replacing it for the sports or semi-racing helps a bit.

I wish I could like the M3 E92, but the engine (in cockpit and bumper cam) sounds terribly weak and sound is major aspect of the driving experience for me in racing games.
In fact there's currently not a single car I've marked as a favourite in GT5 that hasn't had sound taken into consideration. Any cars that are a blast to drive but sound anemic (which is unfortunately far too many in this game) rarely get a second look from me.

Agree 100%

A bad or incorrect sound kills the whole experience for me. Example: Too many to mention...

It's really to bad how they wrecked the sound of the 4.0L V8. Revving that thing to 8400 RPM sounds amazing and the game is so far off the sound that it hampers the experience. Funny tha they got the cockpit perfect yet totally F'd up the sound. Overall I still drive all the M3s a lot in game and would definitely be down for an M3 DLC pack.

Me too 👍

Wouldn't an M3 dlc pack sell well????????????

E30, E36, Premium E46?? :sly:

I would buy it instantly!👍

I'd love it.

add me too, will be a great DLC:tup:

That would be the best DLC pack ever

I second that!

I feel a petition coming on :sly:
I forgot to add a few new M3 Race Cars would also be a treat 👍

C'mon Kaz, we know you're listening :)

Guys i couldnt agree with you more, the ///M brand is the best in its class! I currently own a 1998 E36 M3 and i i will never part with it even on the day when i get a E92 M3 i will have them both at my disposal :)

In GT5 the E92 M3 is my mose fave car, it has all the characteristics of a superb car - handling, speed, acceleration, looks, the list is endless! I have yet to come across a M3 GTR in the UCD and i check daily but to no avail :(

Oh and a BMW DLC pack with the E36 and E30 M3 will be jaw dropping!!

A 24hr Nürburgring Nordschleife pack would be awesome, including R8 LMS, SLS GT3, Porsche/Ruf GT3 RS, BMW M3 GT2, BMW Z4 GT3, Gallardo LP......

The M3 CSL is veryquick too (modified)

I have one and it's very fun. Very quick car. Love the handling. Only other car that I enjoy just as much in this performance class is the Amuse 380 Supperleggera.

This needs to be added to the game. I love sedans and wagons, but the E92 in flat black is my favorite weapon next to my Scuderia.

Man! I was hoping for the E90 to be in GT5!! Think of it, that way the C63 AMG would have it´s rival. And what if the add the RS4? We would have the three medium-compact german sport sedan war unleashed!

(of course the M3 would kick their butt)

Krizzay
Premium ///Motorsport GmbH pack gets my support :-)

Imagine a Premium classic M pack with the E36, E46, E30 M3´s. Plus the E28, E34, E39 M5´s(and a fixed E60), and just maybe a the M1 and the E24 M635csi.

And what about a New M premium pack with the 1M Coupe and F10 M5. BOOM! I empty my wallet in a heartbeat!!

Keep hopes high!

My appologies, I got lost for a minute there. I don't know why but I seriously disliked the E90 M3. I forgot I saw one a couple of years back when they first launched in the US, just looked weird being a sedan. Still haunting me to this day, true M3's stay coupe form. E46 to me will remain the best, E90/92 are just overweight and had to increase power for meager increases to the whole car, what a waste?!

I don't want to advertise, but I have link to my tuning garage in my signature and I have a tune for an M3 in there, its one of my personal favourite cars and I think I did a good job on the tune:p
