When you go into self driving mode does an inflatable driver appear and instantly closes the distance between you and the car in front to about 2 feet?

When you go into self driving mode does an inflatable driver appear and instantly closes the distance between you and the car in front to about 2 feet?

That's supposed to be what Audi is working on, except the distance would be closed to 1/16th inches.
