I tried from the beginning to lighten these images up, and it leads to nothing more insanely bright headlights, white blob skies, darker areas becoming a nasty gray...etc.
To eliminate this first use Levels. Then to get rid of the extremely blown out white areas go into: Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast
Play around with that to find perfection . I understand it will be hard with your monitor, but you should be able to distinguish how much better the photos will look.
If you do not have it, get it. It retails for around $150, but you can simply get a trial version or download a cracked version on a Music/File Downloading Program (Limewire).

You shouldn't be talking about pirated software and where you can get it. 👍
