Since I missed BC4 for not having a replay device... :grumpy: I'm looking forward to BC5 and I hope it will be this summer because I'll have time to play then(I hope).
Now I'm thinking where should I ran the qualifier... :)
 
gt3 was a whole different style, although i'd say i was pretty good at that too. Just never knew about OLR
 
I will watch all of BC5 with real pleasure, I might be some kind of support driver if any will be needed. As a participant - maybe next year ;-)

I doubt there will be more than one race for each driver. it was tried in the last BC whereby each driver had to do 2 races, it was too much IMO and would be surprised if it was done again.

Personaly,I would like that there would be 2 races for each driver but it's not on me to decide that.... 👍

I'd say your good enough to get a win for sure! ... but being so smug about it can only lead to possible disappointment :dopey: If you didn't set your goal so high then you cant be pissed off with your result 👍


GT4 is definitely a totally different game from GT3! as I could race GT3 pretty well but in GT4 I know for sure that I'd be lucky to midpack any BC5 event :crazy:

Ah well! ... been there got the T-shirt twice anyway :sly:

It's true that it sounds very nice having 2 races but in reality it's not IMO. The BC is the ultimate OLR event and it's every driver's objective to produce a race time that is over and above anything that he/she would've produced in any other OLR event such as the WRS for example, and it's also the time where you can show the whole GT community your best, not your near best, but the maximum you can do based on your ability.
In order to achieve this you need to put in 110% commitment and effort into a race, but by running two races you will find that after your first race you will find yourself drained and the chances of you improving in the 2nd race are slim based on the data available from BC4 (with the odd exception, Ron :) ) and therefore goes against all that the BC is about, and IMO that is a drivers maximum ability within a race.

Remember that the BC is nothing like the WRS or other OLR events, multiply your WRS effort ten fold and you will be close to the effort that will be expected in a BC race, and you would like to do 2 races!! :yuck:
You will also be running completely blind, no splits to judge your effort, no private chats on MSN or anywhere else to compare total lap times, no sharing of ghosts and no help on tuning from your competitors and therefore you will have no idea what your competitors have in order for you to compare how well you are doing. Scary or what? :)

However, after all that, it's still bloody good fun, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do 👍 👍
 
Maybe you're right Jerry.I haven't raced in any of BC's for now so it will be a new nice experiance for me...at least I hope so! :)
At the end will see how will everything work out!
 
I wouldn't try to compete anyway but it seems a bit too soon imho
 
I'm not really ready for a BC yet, but I would join it anyway! Have to work really hard to possibly win a race again :scared: . But is a nice oppurtunity to see who are the new GT4 gods and where the old GT3 top drivers stand. I've got the feeling I'm starting to become rusty... :yuck:
 
I sat out on the fourth one after representing the now-dead GTF in BC2 and 3. It really is a whole new level of fast, and 3 had even more pressure for me since I was stuck in a Rally race, something I just am not good at. It's a sobering experience to get a wooden spoon when you're used to much higher finishes, but just knowing you were even near those other guys, it's still a good feeling.

Personally, I felt that BC4 was rushed, but if 5 takes place at some point over the summer, I'll definitely be interested 👍

Capable of a overall top 5 in WRS.
 
I run a Board @ Portugal and we are interested in a participation in BC5.

Does anyone knows how can we compete ? With who can i speak to ?

Nothing's set right now, it's all just speculation as to when it may be (if at all). There's no central board for BC events, so just keep an eye in here, at GT3 Times, GT.de, GTBN, etc and you'll hear about it when somebody knows something.👍

Make sure your drivers look into purchasing a replay device such as a Max Drive. It is required for the competition 👍.

I think i get this. So the best driver from GTP wil race the best drivers from all the other GT forums?
 
There's about 10 drivers from each board that participate against the other boards.
 
Usually it is a team of the 10 best drivers, with 2 alternates, per board. There are 10 rounds - each with a different car/track/race combination - and each driver signs up for the one (s)he has the best shot at. The teams are supposed to assign each round to a certain driver before the series starts.

That's the way it's supposed to work.
