I just tried out the Trial Mountain race on the freshly unlocked Bonus Race 3. I used a mostly stock Ford GT with Race-Hard tires and was surprised how easy this 5-lapper was, by far the easiest $1,000,000 and 90,000 XP I've encountered.

Edit: Same for Rome/Citroen WRC, very easy race, in P1 at beginning of lap 3. $1,500,000 and 120000 XP.

I was thinking about this when I saw the restrictions
but I dont think anyone would forgot to update something like this

Dude don't complain its that race or about an hour grinding indy for 1mil, I know which I prefer, Infact I cant wait to try these new events for some much needed Cr

Rome is even better....1,500,000 cr. and 120,000 XP. Spun out in the last corner of lap 3 and still won by a mile.

Wow, cant wait for my huge payout tomorrow then! :D I thought the other ones were pretty simple, these cant be that easy can they? :S

I have only done Rome, but seing as you invest 90,000 into a prize car and get 1,500,000 for a race you can do in under 10 minutes and can easily win by 5 to 10 seconds, I don't think it gets any easier. I was shocked myself.

Those things makes A-Spec races pointless.

I start my carier all over from the beginning and do only special and bonus races and I laughed hard when I get 12->17 level for easy GT-R race.

Even funnier, I sent the Citroen Rally car to my Son's account figuring I'd run the race and give him some cash to play with. Took him from Level 2 to level 18 in one race.

Of course, I shouldn't have said that here. Now all the "WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE ECONOMY!" people will all hate my 8 year old. ;)

Wait til tomorrow when I give him my Ford GT...Kinda wish there was no restrictions on gifting. I'd run all five for him. And he might start *gasp* having fun with the game.

I don't think there has been a single race, feature, car, event, track, license, noise, blip, beep, bump, or light that someone hasn;t made a thread bitching about it.

Geez, people. Are we going to have thread started about how the Horn sounds aren't realistic therefore GT5 is trash now and nowhere near as good as the earlier games??

Not gonna lie, was tryin to do it with a Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II lol

It is a Ford GT and there is no limit on modifications, so technically... :D

Anyway, the event is fine. I don't see what the fuss is. Who is anyone to judge what is "too easy."

Also 8 year olds play GT games??

There is a topic about horns.

And yeah - really getting over all the complaining...

There is a topic about horns.

Then that makes it official, GT5 is so awful it will destroy the world.

The next Roland Emmerich movie, won't be about a Hurricane, Global Warming, Aliens, or 2012. It will be about people playing GT5. We should all commit ritual seppuku before it's too late.

Someone else go first though...

I read the description on the event, ran through it and won the first time, then realized what I hadn't read between the lines. --

"The first time you complete the race you will receive the rewards and experience of all the positions up to where you placed. but(sic) from the second race and on you will only receive a reward and experience if you place in a better position than the previous races."

So I logged on to my freshly created GTP account and proceeded to run the race 6 times, finishing 6th, 5th, 4th, etc. At the end, I had 1.032.000.00 credits, and was level 15.

The math says it didn't make too much difference, but clicking ok on 15 level up screens was pretty interesting to watch. :)

My 5 year old likes to fool around in the arcade mode sometimes. He is starting to show signs of staying on the track and finishing races lately. :)

When my son was 5, he used to love knocking over the cones in GT4's gymkana.

Now he's 9, he's actually a pretty good little driver, He's golded all of the National B licenses.

Huh? You don't need to finish in each place to get the money, if you finish first you automatically get the total prize fund down to sixth.

I think PD has offered these races as a method to prevent the grinding that can occur as you move through A-spec races. I haven't had a go at the Round3 events yet, but I felt the first 2 were pretty balanced. I cruised through most of them, but struggled with the Rx-7 and Nascar races. The money I received was enough to purchase the cars needed to do the next set of A-spec races I had coming up.

Unrestricted tuning only would seem fair if the cars in the challenge were top-end race cars.

I've got no complaint about it. It's a nice boost for the community as a whole and no grind involved. I ran it last night/morning (midnight) after a few beers and I must say, I'm glad they don't have damage persistent until you fix it. I wouldn't want to see what condition I left that GT in when I turn it on this morning.

if you don't like doing things the 'easy' way, then make it hard for yourself.. you know a real challenge. Do events in A-Spec (or whatever you want) with no tuning, and comfort hard tires. Give yourself a nice pat on the back from those of us who don't care when you accomplish something

His driving style is more suited to Hot Wheels or Need for Speed, but he's starting to get into the Cars more. I did it because he said he wanted to drive a Lamborghini, and rather than give him one of mine (Bob needs it) I thought I'd give him some money to buy one.

I don't get the complaining either. Can't please everyone. I was glad to see the TTS event because I had already gone overboard tuning one just to see if I could make it faster than the HPA one (I did). Now I had a "reason" to race it. So I crushed them, I made my money back.

I wasn't crazy about the last round of events. Nascar at Nurburgring is just... wrong. And I wasn't going to buy an RX-7 under any circumstances (Had one for real. They suck). So I took extreme measures. I just didn't play them.

You do know that when you finish first you get all of the credits and experience from first place and down right? :dunce:
