If it's possible to download the tracks generated by PD in the last bonus races? The tracks are really cool!

I don't think so, but I reckon you can probably recreate them in the course maker mode

No, course maker is random. Even by giving in the same parameters, you can't recreate a track generated by the course maker. Has been discussed on the course maker forum. (Thread with a title like "How random is the course maker")

they souold allow us to add parts of tracks that are in game and add brake markers too :)

The new Eifel tracks are now in practice mode as well as in online lobby's.

I absoloutley hate this track. In fact, most of the course maker tracks are awful.

I made a Mt Aso track a few nights back with a corner which could only be called "Catapult". It was basically a very short hairpin on a blind rise which put you into the invisible wall above the fence if you took it any faster than 10mph.

If the wall hadn't been there the course would have required a Land Rover.

100% agree with the first part. Also agree with the second part, but I will add that you can make great tracks in the Course Maker. But you have to be willing to weed through quite a few awful ones. You have to learn to read the terrain lines so that you can tell if your corners are going to be on bad terrain. It would take forever if you had to drive every track just to find out it sucked, which is what I was doing at first... Now I have a dozen really good Eifel tracks. Actually ANY of my Eifel tracks is better than that crap one in the Bonus race.

Then you take the corner at 10mph! 💡 Not all tracks are WFO!

Do you realise how slow 10mph is? The slowest corner in F1 racing is Loews Hairpin at Monaco. The average speed through that corner is around the 30mph mark.

A 10mph corner on a course with an average speed of 100mph+ is going to act as a bottleneck and is likely to cause crashes which is why there are regulations which apply to track design to prevent this.

There are also regulations as to the maximum angle and gradient of a hill and, again, Catapult would have broken these regulations.

I understand the sentiment behind your post but please understand the sentiment behind mine...the course maker is prone to making tracks which are either devoid of corners or tracks with corners so acute that they ruin the flow of the race completely.

Rylan, I made a Mt. Aso course that had a turn very similar to your Catapult. Right at the top of the tallest hill there was a blind, off camber, decreasing radius turn. And this wasn't just a few degrees off camber, either. This had real NASCAR banking to it. The track wasn't that bad elsewhere, either. 99% drivable, with a nice mix of high speed and twisty sections--and 1% crap.

I just wish PD had put some more thought into the course maker. Some of these generated turns are absolutely ridiculous, with no way a course designer or a sanctioning body allowing them in real life. They'd be instant, literal deathtraps.

Ideally, the course maker needs to be more of a true sandbox nature, rather than just a randomly-generated response to a set of parameters. It doesn't even need to be as full-featured as ModNation Racers--put an emphasis on track shape and configuration, not, say, landscaping options.

Somehow, if Kaz were asked about adding a fuller-featured course maker to the game, I can envision him saying, "The system's not powerful enough, wait for GT6." :(

Hate the Mt. Aso and Eifel tracks. On the F1 track, there are 6 (yes, six!) beyond-the-hill blind turns and the track is absolutely featureless. This makes it very hard to learn it. Hate the foggy, bleak look too.

Managed to do it in F2007, but it was not fun.
