Xbox me no like
Love this car way more than i though i would. I Have one modded but honestly i like driving it stock better. I set up a room with no tunning allowed, one guy stuck around for a while and we had some very close very fun races.

Beautiful car good job toyota/subaru/scion, In a yr or 2 I think ill be trading my WRX for one :)

Hey am with you on this one. Had endless hours of fun on tsukuba then nurburgring gp. Great car! This car pack has actually left me satisfied more than the first one despite only having four cars. Is it just me or do some of the dlc cars have even better interiors?

I do like the car, but if you say "no tuning allowed" then it will always be hard to have a good race. The cars aren't balanced, so you get one-make racing, which can be boring. Just set the room to 400-410 PP and have fun. That way you don't have to mod your 86, but someone else can mod a different car to run with you.

Most cars are more fun stock, people just don't know about them.

+1 on this. As for the GT 86 it is a great drive. I Like it even better with comfort tires.
As for no tuning making for worse racing, I think the opposite is true especially if you limit the tire selection.

edit: Wife says we can get one next Holiday season!

I totally agree! I love this with the cs tires. Pretty grippy with those suprisingly. It is one of the better balanced cars in the game in stock form.

There is a gt-86 event in the online racing forums which I just signed up for. It must be stock and with cs.

I like the car stock, its fun.
Only thing Ive noticed iffy with this car STOCK is it can be tricky on the Nurb in one spot. After the downhill Es's (i think Fuchsrohre), when you come to the bottom the track goes slight left (at Adenauer Forst, i think) and it causes the car to snap loose if your to aggressive there. Raced like 10-12 stock ones (no tuning allowed) there for 5-6, 1 lap races and it seemed at least one guy spun out there every time. Watched a couple replays and it would just snap. I seemed to be behind someone every time there and was going a bit slower and didnt spin. The guy in front was full throttle in 5th.

yeah it seams to happen when theres a lot of compression on the suspension. Happens at spa ive notice, at the s turn in the vally between the hills.

Car is amazing... GT throws some tough competition at it in Arcade Mode(10) like NSXs and such that really underlines it's need for a bit more power. Still wont add anything to it.

I want one

Why are you wasting space on the Q&A board with this nonsense? This board isn't for random opinions.

well there really isnt a general gt5 forum. and was looking for other peoples opions on the car. Wondering if other people liked the car in stock form as much as i do. I can then gauge the viability of the stock gt 86 only room I have been trying to get going, havent had a lot of sucsess latly with it. However it dose seem that im not alone in thinking this car is a blast stock, so i think I'll keep trying. Ive been trying to keep it to smaller track as the car is fun to drive but its not fast so a long track might be kind of boring. Although I ran some laps at suzuka and that was pretty fun so.... What do you guys think would be a good track?

Ignore that rude guy's statement.

I'm sooo happy we got this car for free since I'm "unable to add funds" to my PSN account. I've been driving this car a lot and I can totally see myself owning one in the future. Only thing is that it drives too great for its own good (balance and handling-wise) like people say of the GT-R. I was expecting/hoping for more oversteer, because it doesn't feel as "alive" as I was thinking it was going to be ON a track.

It doesn't mean that it takes away from the fact that it's a good car. But more like, I'd enjoy it more as a street car than a track car. I was expecting more power, too, but the car is just fine how it is. Well, maybe another 20hp for street driving and 50hp for a little "seriousness" would be perfect, which is why I add an ECU to most cars. Most of my time spent using this car was without an ECU.

@iCyCo applying weaker tires to your car before you enter the race actually changes the competition's cars to slower ones. Not sure if that's for arcade AND GTLife

It is if they offer a opinion then ask the question, what is your opinion way too much negativity here

stock cars are awesome to drive on the edge because they don't respond in an extremely precise way and tolerate very few errors. they're not easy but rewarding. ft86 is no exception: fun as hell!

We had some brilliant one make races with these cars stock. 5 cars going doorhandle to doorhandle all lap on the Nordschleife. Who ever said 400pp races are boring?

I like it and I am tempted to buy a Subaru BR-Z when if comes out, but I don't understand why it came with sport hard tires when it come with the same tires as a Toyota Prius, well at least the Scion FR-S does.

Stock tyres grip too much. Also I had some trouble with understeer but might just because over grippy tyres.

wonder what the chances are we will get the subaru and/or scion versions of the car? Id like the subaru one just so i can drive a subaru and not a toyota :)
