Brady gets MVP...

Because as a sports fan it makes me sick. Its like watching a criminal get found innocent when you KNOW they did it. *cough* OJ.

Did you also notice how Brett Favre took his own team out of the Superbowl with those famous "Superman" passes? Brady almost never loses the game for his team, something few other quarterbacks can claim.

Do what any above average QB does with the best TEAM in the NFL--follow what the coaches and coordinators tell you.
Lets hope so. :sly:
NE is only the best team in the NFL, because of Brady, his composed nature, and the excellent system designed around him. Without Brady NE does not have an offense that can stay on the field, eating up 'time of poss' while marching down the field. Merely an Above Average QB?? Look at his career stats! Pay attention to QB rating!

Another reason for the MVP.

I guess it will really piss-off JCE when Brady gets the SuperBowl MVP too.

Not if he earns it by rushing for the winning TD as well as collecting first downs with his feet and not throwing any INTs.

And NE could easily be where they are with another QB--I find it puzzling why some of you just can't accept it.

uh, REAL QB's don't rush! That is why you have RBs. Yes, NE could be at a similar place with only a few NFL QBs, few QBs are nearly as composed, efficient, or smart as Brady. Name 3 QBs with similar or better numbers in the last five years.

Brady is not the best QB ever, but he has put up Joe Montana type numbers, and he had fabulous O-lines too, and that scary defense. Did you complain about Joe Montana when he won SuperBowls with totally stacked teams, or how about Troy in Dallas, and he had a hell of a RB?? And these were before the dreaded Salary Cap era, when you could actually keep a team together.

Brady is a QB with 7 yrs NFL Experience, with three SB Rings and 2 SB MVP's. Yeah, I see your point about him not being all that good (sarcastic).

2002- The winning drive came as the seconds ticked off and no time outs left. It looked like all the momentum had shifted the Rams way when they came from 14 points behind and tied the game at 17 in the fourth quarter. But Tom Brady, that cool, collected quarterback who seems to have been born for this moment (he was named the game's MVP) made play after play until his team found themselves at the Ram 31 with :07 on the clock. Just as cooly, Vinatieri made history.

2004- Under the bright lights of the world’s biggest sporting event, the offenses lit up the scoreboard in the second half. Tom Brady threw for 354 yards on 32-of-48 passing while Deion Branch had 10 catches for 143 yards and a score. ... it was Brady -- the Super Bowl MVP once again -- and his team that came away with their second world championship in three seasons

2005- Deion Branch -- the game MVP -- had a monster game with 11 catches for 133 yards while Tom Brady was 23 of 33 for 236 yards and two touchdowns.

I don't think you can really ever call anyone "the best", but Brady is headed to the Hall of Fame with (at least) 3 rings and stellar numbers. That is not a result of luck, or someone telling him what to do.

Anyone still think Brady deserved MVP? Suddenly when the O-line doesn't give him an hour to throw each pass he looks awfully beatable. How many passes did he throw last night that had you thinking "who was that for"? He also looked bad in the Chargers game.

I think one of the things that really showed last night was that Brady is not the amazing QB that everyone thinks he is. He's good when the going is good. When wideouts are running good routes, the o-line is protecting, the running game is clicking, etc. But when things aren't clicking, suddenly the wheels come off. Brady is still, and always has been, a game-managing QB. When the game is going well, he looks great. When the team isn't in sync, he doesn't look as good. Partially it may be that he's still getting used to his new receivers, and doesn't know them well enough to understand what they'll do in non-scripted situations.

Still, if we could go back and re-do the MVP, I'll bet someone else would win.

Actually they did better than I thought they would after the Vick fiasco, Guess it's time to rebuild in Atlanta huh.

How about a Marino Comeback...lol
I really liked that guy, almost his whole career he was the Dolphins MVP. Poor guy, no support=no ring.
Yeah too bad he got placed in the Hall of Fame, can't come back now. At least I don't think he can...

Brady doesn't have too, his O-line keeps that from happening.

So you're saying Micheal Vick wasn't a real QB? Sure he didn't pan out like we wanted to but he is definitely a real QB. If our o-line was as good as the pats he never have needed to run all over the place.

Yeah, Brady sucks. Like I said, he is only good when his O-line performs.

I've been saying that all this time and not many people listened. Maybe now I (and the others) get some credit?

Uh, everyone DOES realize that Brady only got in the hall of fame this year by cheating, right?:irked:
